MGSIV probably won't even get AAA. I mean, MGS and MS3 got AA here. No problem with that though, AA is a great score and I can't to play the game.

Um.... Your ignorant.... 20 hours of gameplay in an FPS is amazingly long, the death penalty is not a big deal, there AREN'T any freezes (infact, there is a whole thread of people (90 posts) saying that they never once experienced a freeze), and the facial animations aren'tbad.

how did you do it in 8-10 hours? I actually enjoyed it... took my time and spend 4 hours to get up to the end of Medical Pavilion. Loved every second too.

I dunno really, I couldnt treat the game like Grand Theft Auto / Far Cry / Halo and other sandbox games, I saw no need to play around, other than some traps, it was basically a corridor shooter to me ... hey ... one rooms clear ... onto the next! Needless to say though its presentation was excellent , I enjoyed every second, but it got way too easy and repetitive ... :P

Maybe MGS4 will win cutscenes of the year but the gameplay has always kept it well away from GOTY. Killzone 2 has a better chance but something is always better than nothing.

Whoa my bad , I'm cycling between a 2007 and 2008 thread. /boggles

The top 5 games for GotY next year are:

1. Spore (If you don't know why.... educate yourself)

2. Starcraft 2 (Sequel to the greatest RTS game ever made and being made by arguably the best developers ever)

3. LittleBigPlanet (Amazingly innovative and interesting game... Almost makes me want to buy a PS3)

4. RAGE (id promises good gameplay for this game and the previews so far seem to back that up)

5. Fallout 3 (Bethesda has a great pedigree and they have learned from all their past mistakes. They WILL do justice to this amazing franchise.

These are my predictions. Honestly, there are a lot of other great and deserving games but THESE are the most deserving. 2 Multiplats(RAGE and Fallout 3), 2 PC games (Spore and Starcraft 2) and one PS3 game (LittleBigPlanet).
