Yeah, he sums it up. Capcom vs DC would rock. The issue isn't with DC. The issue is Mortal Kombat and how crappy all of its fighting games are even when compared to the worst street fighter games.

Mortal Combat used to be one of those games that pushed the envelope with acceptable mature content, and actually also had awesome combat. Taking away the violence in a Mortal Combat game is like taking the platforming out of Mario games.TriggerheartEx

Hehe, MK was never a mature game. LMAO. It had blood, but thats not mature. MK was like the "I Know What You Did Last Summer" of games. Despite its R rating, its aimed at 12 year olds who think blood and teen sex are the cornerstones of cinema. They probably watch Freddy Kreuger and utter nonsense like, "Where was it's Oscar nomination?"

Besides, I doubt you know that much about MK when you mistakenly spell it as MC.

MK2 and UMK3 were the only "quality" MK games, and MK/DC actually doesn't look too bad. But the TC is asking if MvSF or MvC was accepted, why is MK vs DC not? Cuz why wouldn't Superman be able to do just take out the whole MK cast? Well, it's already been stated that some cataclysmic event will happen, causing something to happen to the MK and DC realms, which makes the playing field even. Obviously we still don't know the entire story, but that'll eventually be something we find out down the road.

So are people not accepting of this game because it doesn't make sense to them, even though again MvSF is (although even back then when MvSF or MvC came out, fans of the franchises weren't too thrilled about it either in the beginning), OR because of MK's not-so-great track record with 3D games? Yeah, I'd go with the ladder then if that's the case, since it only took the very first few replies to turn this thread into an MK hate thread.

On a side note, comic-con is in a couple days, and I think they're going to talk more about the storyline for this game, so people can tune into that if they want also.

That will be the boringest panel ever. I don't know why they even bother putting storylines in a game. Most people don't even know there was a story until they beat the game and a CGI video or epilogue text comes up and they are like, "Oh, I didn't know there was a reason my character was in this." When they do add a story, 100% of the time its this nonsense:

"The bad guy has grown strong enough and is ready to take over the world. Before doing this, he decides to invite 12 of the world's best fighters to participate in a tournament. If I can't beat the strongest person in a 1 on 1 fight, then surely all of my jets, tankers, bombers, infantry, mines, submarines, missles, soldiers, nukes, mercenaries, robots, cyborgs, ninjas, samurai, psychics and genetic beasts mean nothing."

Because it's Mortal Kombat. Come on dude, Capcom are masters at fighting game systems. Mortal Kombat has always been a joke compared to almost any Capcom fighter, ESPECAILLY Marvel vs Capcom. Plus they had the common sense to use the proper characters.

Superman should never be in any fighting game. It just looks idiotic when you know what he's capable of and without his powers he's basically a normal person.
