The wonder of Mods

It could be many things. If all you have is a powerful GPU, then your RAM and CPU will be bottle-necking it. If all you are playing is console ports, then they haven't either been optimised enough, or not designed with enough stuff to take advantage of that card.
Try Crysis with mods. Then you'll see why PC gaming is several generations ahead of console gaming in terms of hardware power.

Um No its fact that Pc's are better then Consoles. But Pc gamers tend not to bash consoles just because they are inferior, its when consolers come up with illogical arguements and deny facts. Pc gamers dont feel seperior to consolers we just tend to know more about how things work.
Maybe it's because you only have Dead Space, Mass Effect and Gears of War? Try getting Just Cause 2, Metro 2033, or another game that actually uses your card's advantages.DragonfireXZ95Reguardless of the games he's playing the difference between sub par HD and true HD on the PC is undeniable and the higher res textures and framerates on all multiplats are in your face obvious from their console counterparts. Maybe he needs to rub his eyes, get a new monitor or clean his glasses because even multiplats look much better on a pc.

Uh no, can your console do Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Metro 2033 in DX 11, Dirt 2 in DX 11 and the list goes on and on. No, it can't. And consoles 720P crap and sub-HD crap in games like Modern warfare 1 & 2 and Black Ops looks crap and blurry mess compared to Full HD 1080P. It's not about why PC gamers think they are better than consoles, it's just that the PC hardware makes the games look and play better with more options and variety.
a 560ti is 6-7x times of what PS3/360 have A 3,5year old 8800gt is 2-3x times more powerfull Games on 360 and PS3 ( and those you mentioned ) run at 1280x720 or less On 560ti can run at 2560x1600 ( if not more) Games on PS3 and 360 are limited to 30fps I'm playing dirt 2 at 60fps at a resolution 2,5times of PS3 and 360 on a gtx460 at 1920x1080 Usually there is no AA or at best its 2-4xAA Games that are on both Pc and console 560ti has no problem even using 32xAA and still maintaining higher frame rate than either consolesadamosmaki
Dirt 2 in DX 11 with tesselation in FULL HD 1080P looks stunning on my gaming rig compared to when I played on my PS3 at it's crappy 720P resolution with low AA. It's a NIGHT and DAY difference.
Nice games in your OP there TC. Try some PC exclusives and watch your little card piss itself. millerlight89I have battlefield bad company 2, Empire Total War and Fallout 3 all of which look better on my PC but where's the difference from say the Wii to the PS3? My hardware is bigger than the gap with that and yet i dont understand why developers dont use it to its full extent.
It think for the most part you are extremely envious and it doesn't have to be all personal as you're makeing it out to be. The majority of the time PC gamers get all high and mighty is when people try and down play the PC and it's features. When PC gamers hear things like "Uncharted 2 looks better then Crysis", "PC gaming is Dead", "PC gaming is expensive", "PC gaming is difficult", "PC gamers think they are gods".......stuff like that. PC gamers get pissed because well right off the bat no game on consoles looks even close to as good as the original crysis and you can't honestly say there is. You're absolutely kidding yourself if you think PC gaming is dying. You're absolutely kidding yourself if you think PC gaming is expensive. You're absolutely kidding yourself if you think it's too difficult and well when you question the PC and it's abilities of actually being able to "DO EVERYTHING" they stand up for it. Most PC gamers put time and pride into their rigs because they built them from the ground up and maintain then regularly to perform just as well as they did brand new. PC gaming can be just as casual as console gaming but most of us make it our lifestyle because we love what we've built and thats what we love to do.This thread is a perfect example of what my previous thread was about, where pc gamers think they are so much better than console gamers. That's a good post, man, bravo.
I dont see how my 560ti, which is probably close to being twice as powerful as the GPU in the 360 is barely able to out perform 360 games. The biggest thing i get is AA and resolutions but overall games dont look much better on the PC, even with the extra hardware i got.
Maybe its just the games i own but as of right now i own Dead Space, Mass Effect and Gears of War on PC and 360. Yet my PC version isn't all that much better looking?
Is it that developers only move graphics up the scale when a new console cycle comes around or what? I dont understand the PC love when developers aren't giving me much of it.

Fail right outta the gate. Only close to being twice as powerful? Way more than twice my friend.
Anyway, if you don't think that playing at over twice the resolution of the 360 with a better framerate and more AA isn't a clear sign of the PC's superiority try playing something like Metro 2033 instead. Play it both on PC and on 360. There are plenty of other multiplats where the difference is very stricking.. Dragon Age: Origins, Fallout 3, etc.
Also, the 360 will never be able to run games like Shogun 2.
Maybe it's because you only have Dead Space, Mass Effect and Gears of War? Try getting Just Cause 2, Metro 2033, or another game that actually uses your card's advantages.DragonfireXZ95or mybe its because it takes more than a good GPU to run at high settings?

Like it's been said before, they are console ports, and they don't always take advantage of the PC in most graphical areas though res, aa and af are already a given. I guess some devs don't go into doing more work on making it look much better like other multiplats.

Thank You! . Don't applaud though, just throw money! LOLOn my 5850 I'm getting 100fps on DMC, maxed out, ultra settings, max AA and shadows. Lol quite sad it's 30fps on consoles.SaltyMeatballs
At 1080p? That is a seriously well optimised PC game.
Dude you must be blind all those games look way better on PC, even if they are just ports, put them in ultra settings, with max AA, vsync, highest res your monitor and handle etc it'll look clearly better then the low res blurry console versions.
I own the exact same graphics card. Try playing some Rage, Battlefield 3, Planetside 2, Crysis modded, or any game modded for that matter. These are jsut some random examples, there are hundred of incredible looking PC games.
You are playing console ports the only real difference is texturesI dont see how my 560ti, which is probably close to being twice as powerful as the GPU in the 360 is barely able to out perform 360 games. Because you are playing games that were made for consoles? Guess what if I download a Super Mario Bros. (NES) ROM and run it on my 3Ghz i7 w/ 12 GB 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM and Nvidia GTX 660TI 2 GB OC GPU...... it still looks like it did on the NES.... IMAGINE THAT, EH!?
Games just aren't going to magically look better on PC hardware. The game can only look as good as the artists made it. Sure you can up the resolution and AA all you want, but at the end of the day, if the texture resolution, number of polygons, lighting, and other post processing effects are unchanged from the console version, it's not going to look much better.
High resolution, more AA, and higher framerate is already a large improvement, but you cannot just magically add thousands of polygons to the environment, up the number of dynamic lights, make particle effects prettier, and double the texture resultion by just throwing more hardware at a game.
