This is probably one of the toughest decisions, or picks to choose from on this forum. While I would say Nintendo, because I don't own a Wii, but seeing them leave the console market would be catastrophic. I actually thought they were on their way out when the Gamecube's third party support became a drought during the last few years of its lifecycle. The DS seemed to keep them afloat.I thought they may go the same route as Sega, and just make software once the Gamecube faltered, but once the Wii was released, that thought diminished completely. Plus, Nintendo makes some of the best first party titles. Then you have Microsoft, which hasn't really been in the console market that long, has faulty hardware(better now), and less first party support. But I play my 360 a lot more than my PS3, and the first party games it does have are some of my favorite. Now Sony seems to always put more tech under the hood with there consoles, so it would be a real shame for them to leave the console market. So yeah, I guess I'll pick Nintendo, to leave the console market, but still make games.
i would say nintendo. since ill never buy another nintendo console. ill miss a little because i startedwiththem, but they can always make their1 or 2 good games a year on the other 2 systems. i think they could handle making games for multi systems alot better then sega has also.
Sorry to say, but I voted Nintendo. They really diluted their platform with awful casual games and garbage shovelware. The innovation of the control style has worn off (it was always problematic at best anyways), and they don't have alot of variety or enough first-party games. Sounds subjective, but I actually owned the Wii before selling it off earlier this year. It's just not the same Nintendo that I used to love in the SNES & N64 days...
They should just stick to the handheld market because at this point they're in a league of their own.
I think they should all stay, but I guess if I had to choose one, I'd say Microsoft. I'd rather them create new Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Midtown Madness, and the like games on PC again. It's been a while since we've had a good AoE and I was mad that Midtown Madness 3 didn't come to the PC. I was a loyal fan and didn't want to buy a whole new, expensive console just for one game. Even if Microsoft left the console business, they still have PC, so we lose nothing. We might regain some old franchises though.
Dude, seriously? These games you quote are ANCIENT. You'll never see another Midtown Madness because games like Project Gotham Racing and Forza have become Microsoft's main (and best-selling) racing IPs.I think they should all stay, but I guess if I had to choose one, I'd say Microsoft. They should all stay. Competition is good for us gamers. Without MS in the mix, I guarantee the PS3 would not be at $300 right now, without the Wii, we would not see Move or Kinect, without Sony... honestly Sony hasn't done very much this gen as far as innovation, but their first party is arguably the strongest of the 3 an PS3 exclusives set standards for quality
Oh God, I accidentally voted Nintendo! NOES!!!Diviniuzits ok , i voted sony but ment to vote nintendo
we all already knew this. but thanks for caring:)They should all stay. Competition is good for us gamers. Exactly Dude. The Nintendo 64 is my Favorite console of all time but Nintendo has really changed this generation. My first console this generation was the Wii and a few months later I bought a 360. Once I bought the 360 my Wii basically sat in the closet and collected dust until I sold it. None of the games on the Wii interest me at all. The only good games are the first party Mario, Zelda, Metroid type games and those are all just rehashes. I really wouldnt care if Nintendo didnt come out with another console. I would just play all my favorite N64 games (Zelda:OOT and MM, DK 64, Mario 64 etc..) if I ever got the feeling to play something Nintendo.
I voted Nintendo because I think they have the least to offer when designing a videogame console. Sony and MS both have their hands in a number of other industries they can incorporate more fully and intuitively into their consoles and integrate other aspects of those industries into console design (thus creating home entertainment hubs) while I think Nintendo just doesn't have the pull to make it happen. So, I wouldn't mind if they stopped making consoles and simply became a multiplatform developer.

My Wii is also sitting in the closet collecting dust but I haven't sold it yet. I almost sold it once 'cause I was really disappointed with the lack of good games. Now it's getting better, lots of promising upcoming games, even though most are really rehashes. Well, that's was Nintendo always does, they don't take too many risks anymore, at least with Wii games.
You hit the nail on the head there. Most people are going to vote for MS to leave not realizing that they are the main reason that Sony is bringing their "A" game. Without MS the PS3 would probably have been alot more than $600 at launch and PSN would still probably be a barren wasteland that it was at first. Some people need to see the big picture and appreciate things a little better. They should all stay. Competition is good for us gamers. I voted nintendo but after i thought about it we need them for there inovation, but also need both consoles to push each other. kick out microsoft

without the Wii, we would not see Move or Kinect,
Is that really a bad thing :P
But we had EyeToy *head explodes* before wii, move and kinect.I would really like to see Nintendo go third party. I'm tired of buying an entire console just for Metriod, Mario and a tiny handful of random games. FerdMertz
Agreed. I would add Zelda to the games you mentioned but thats it really.
MS is winning(?) this poll by a fairly large margin. Glad to see some people on here have some sense. With most of the 360's library already also available on the PC or PS3, it's the most irrelevant one out there.
Sony. I never buy their consoles, and my PSP just collects dust. I always see their systems as a jack of all trade sort of thing, rather than specialize in specific blockbuster titles (at least those that I want to play). That, and I honestly feel both Nintendo and MS are far more innovative than Sony.
Microsoft easily. All they indroduced were crappy hardware, pay to play online (while ninty, sony and pc offer it free), closing down talented developers, introducing DLC (thank you Microsoft now we have to pay for content that is already on the disc 90% of the time!) all they did was ruin the console scene.
Microsoft has brought the least to the table, so I easily pick them. I would rather them focus on PC gaming.
Sony at least has first party devs to make games, which are usually pretty good. Although I see very little originality from Sony. I would pick Sony after MS.
Nintendo takes risks and has expanded the gaming market. They continue to have great first party support and try new gameplay ideas.
Neither,
If Sony left MS would feel a alot better and would rip you off even more.
Vice Versa.
if nin left a large part of gaming leaves with them. Not to mention all the staff without jobs.
And system wars without the wars sounds boring.
