Its because these countries cannot afford the luxuries of a dedicated gaming system and a huge HDTV. While a PC does everything; play movies, play games, do work, photoshop, communicate with friends, burn dvds etc etc. While a console really just plays games and an HDTV is just a bigger monitor more expensive monitor (albeit a lower rez). If I lived in one of these countries a gaming pc would appeal to me and still does. Also when all your friends play on PC why would you get a console?
If PC gaming is so expensive....
