If PSN is free then why...

Does XBL have more users ...i know the xbox came out a year before the ps3 but the $60/ year fee should act as a barriers for some folks to xbl....just curious

psn has more resgistered users, over 2 platforms of course

Plus I dont think its any suprise that 360 attracks multiplayer gamers because of their multiplayer games...

PS3 is way more singleplayer oriented IMO...Uncharted, Infamous, heavy rain, god of war, MGS...

all great singleplayer ONLY games (yes UC2 has multiplayer but people play it for singleplayer)

edit: but does it? now that other people are questioning it then it begs for an answer...is there a link TC that Live has more GOLD members than PSN users?

Actually PSN has something like 70mil registered accounts. But we'll never really know who *really* has more users because people have multiple PSN accounts. I have 4 myself. :sNot-A-Stalker

PSN probably has more than Xbox Live, though you'd have a hard time finding out for sure. The only thing you really have is registered users, but even if you have accurate numbers for those, you've got to figure out ps3 vs psp psn users, multiple accounts, and Silver vs Gold account.

Doesn't sound like fun tbh. PSN has more quality online games to choose from though, and that's what matters.

XBL is not $60 a year. Every time I log on there's some offer for getting XBL at $30 with a free arcade game. XBL cards are sold at Amazon for like $45. I guess if your only way to pay is to run to Best Buy and pay $60 fora year subscription than yeah, it's expensive. But XBL is super cheap like all the time.
