If Sony introduced subscription fees for PSN...

It's not a matter of "if" its a matter of "when". And I just have a feeling by the end of the PS3's 10 year life cycle there will be a PSN fee that will continue onto the PS4. It's destine to happen.

No I would not. Im not that much into online gaming, and paying for online gaming is dumb, since it has been free for almost 20 years.

id pay, but excpect more on the PSN store, headset for all subscribers, and DEDICATED SERVERS FOR ALL online games not just Sony's 1st party

Ha! It better be way better than it is. I think I'm Way overpaying for my 2 accounts of Xbox Live (I have 2 360's and $50 a year seems crazy) BUT I do pay it year in and year out.

For Sony to Charge that, THEY BETTER BLOW AWAY THE COMPETITION. It needs to be a resounding YES, It's BETTER. Talk to any fan, and it's not UNIVERSALLY Better that Xbox Live.

I think if anything, the Fees should go down on Live, but that's probably just me.

What could be improved? The bottomline is communication. That's it. Improve all aspects of communication over Xbox Live....then it may be worth it.

No i wouldnt, the free service is one of the few things that keep the PS3 floating.

Because Sony this gen is known to flip-flop hard. "Rumbe was so last gen" then they introduce the DS3. "Multiple skus would confuse consumers" then they introduce the most skus in the least amount of time. "Backward compatibility is important to us" then they will discontinue BC for future PS3 skus.

So it wouldn't surprise anybody if they first say "PSN is free" then in time they'll make something up and starts charging for it. Like someone already mentioned, they're already testing the waters with Qore and see how many will subscribe to it to play demos and videos and betas, content that you can get else where besides in Qore.
