If Spiderman outscores God of War would that put the final nail in the xbox one coffin?

It would change absolutely nothing since it is just another movie-game. More high-scoring movie-games on the PS4 isn't going to do any more damage to the Xbox brand since anybody that loves movie-games already knows that the PS4 is the go-to console for that kind of "game".

Another high-scoring movie-game will make Sony's existing customer-base very happy, but it won't convert many Xbox fans since if they cared a lot about movie-games, they would have already jumped on-board the Playstation train by now. To do more damage to the Xbox brand and steal their customers, they need to focus on Microsoft's strengths and then do better than them in those areas. For example, I think that one of the biggest reasons that some people choose to go for Xbox over Playstation is because Xbox delivers a better multiplayer experience, so if Sony would improve their online service and release some excellent multiplayer exclusives, that would deliver a bigger blow to the Xbox brand than yet another movie-game.

The combat in this game looks very good.

Wow, the combat looks fantastic. insomniac really are the perfect fit for this game. I feel like all their experience making wacky gadgets in R&C and Resistance really paid off with this game.

LMAO!!!! Hell NO! I've play on XBX and have over 300 games and never ONCE in my entire time with the XB family, which is over a decade, have i ever bought a spiderman game =D

As usual cows point to mediocre exclusives as the main reason to game on PS. All the while, their are tons of 3rd party games that are better and play better on XB. Furthermore, the few console exclusives MS does have stomp all over the face of the movie sims PS exclusives offer. PUBG and State of Decay 2 are the lastest examples. For instance, you'll enjoy the new God of War for 25-30 hours but i've already played PUBG for over 500 hours. Moreover with State of Decay 2, an open world, sandbox, survival, simulation, RPG with co-op, i'll definitely get over a thousand hours.

Therefore, this difference between PS4 and XB1 all comes down to quality versus quantity. I'm all about the quality experience the XBX delivers. However, you cows that prefer the quantity experience, well good for you! Although, stop throwing the massive amount of "bullsh!t" from your cow butts in peoples faces and call it face balm demanding we like the smell of it. Crap is crap.

Like i say Fanboys keep things alive these days. Like iphone being outdated and costing the most retards buy it because its apple... Same will happen with Xbox. Look at the dreamcast when it died it had loads of great exclusives. Xbox has next to nill and nothing going for it yet it survives. Well said. I own my PS consoles for the games they put out that I want to play. Call them movie games or whatever I like some of them. I like some pop music and summer blockbuster movies as well. They are formulaic but that doesn't mean they cant be great entertainment.

There is no doubt imo that MS has what you mentioned, the MP. Shawn Layden said in no uncertain terms in Dec that single player, narrative games are Sony's focus. So I know I am also a social gamer and Xbox is where I game with people. PS is a ghost town for me.

The generation is done in terms of sales Xbox has been dominated. MS needs to focus on pleasing the fans and install base they have.

Where? Last I heard it was 1 in 5 were Pros sales vs PS4 and slim sales, or 20%. And that's obviously excluding the 3 years of ps4s sold before Pro came out. So if you take the 25 million ps4s(slim and Pro included) sold since Pros launch, there's about 5 million Pros out there, maybe a bit more now, so say 5-7 million. That's out of 70+ million total ps4s(slim and Pros included).

That would make Spiderman one hell of a game. We can only hope.

Xbox is not any where close to Dead but there is NO denying Sony Curb Stomped MS this Gen both in HW sales and Superior Software Library.

No doubt in my mind when it comes to consoles (second place) the PS4 has won the gen. Xbox was nowhere near this gen unfortunately. Note to everyone: It's actually better for us all when the competition is close.

I Phones are by far the most Durable phones and this is coming from a Galaxy owner for 4 Gens now.

I don't think it has any bearings on what ms do with Xbox. They have the money to continue well into next gen whenever that will be. I expect them to continue with the X until at least 2020.

With apple admitting slowing its phones down to last longer, how are they durable? Besides most people upgrade after a couple years with a new contract.

@Trinitarian: 500 hours of resogun co op enjoyable , so were uncharted 4s multiplayer , alienations , rockets league for over a year. Bloodbournes elite co op and pvp before dark souls 3 was even announced

By the way i think the more of exclusives Sony releasing it just making it harder for X1 to appeal or get any momentum and push some sales. On the other hand X1 has nothing to show to get some momentum on its own. Slightly better performance on multiplatforms wont make X1X get sales either, therefore imho there are multiple nails Sony is throwing towards X1 for quite a while now and more, bigger ones if you want, will get thrown soon with The last of us 2.

This generation is ending though if rumors are true ( and as many of us predicted last year ) with PS5 in 2020. The question is what MS can do with X2 in 2 years or so to turn this momentum around ?
