If the 360 has no exclusives, why is the PS3 in last place?

Alot of people must not care about ps3 exclusives then. They sell like s**t, because most of the games people wanna play are multi-plat.

If PS3 has sooooo many "good" exclusives, then how come nobody is buying the ps3 to play these games? The 360 "has no exclusives," right? So why is the ps3 in last place and no one is buying it to play all these "good"exclusives?

Is it because not many people IRL give a s**t about PS3 exclusives? I mean, Sony even had to lie and state shipped copies of Uncharted 3 as sold copies to make it seem like it was a super popular franchise. :lol:

Shipped copies= sold copies to the eyes of all companies. They have to sell things before they ship them out.

Because quantity of upcoming exclusives is not the only factor when it comes to buying a console, despite what cows believe.

PS3 is sleep material 99% of the time for me, it is rather obvious that even one good exclusive is better than 20 mediocre to terrible ones

Shipped copies are what is in circulation at retail.So essentially they are sold.

Multiplats are much more common this gen than it used to be. Remember PS2 and how many games that system had that Xbox lacked? Today it's about who delivers the best version of a multiplat.

Though your technically right it was a dishonest metric being used to give off the appearance that Sony's exclusives sell equal or better then Micro known heavy hitters. It was a lie. Shipping that many to stores is not the same as Microsoft selling that much product to consumers. When micro said is sold 3 million gearsin a week, 2 million showed up in NPD alone. Sony claimed they sold 3.8 in 24 hrs...which by the way would of made it the biggest/fastest selling exclusive this whole generation..... but when NPD time came around it did not even crack a million in the largest video game market. (after a month). There exclusives don't sell like that and are not built like that. (GT being the exception rather then the rule) Funny how Sony never came out crowing that Uncharted was the biggest selling exclusive in a 24 hr time right?? Cause it was a d#mn lie

3yr warranty on RROD doesnt apply everywhere (me & a few friends know that cause we had to re-buy a 2nd console when the 1st one died)

Price factor - it was always & still is the cheaper HD console

I always see Sony haters point out when sony releases shipped units as opposed to sold units when it comes to console & exclusives, but these same people dont want to accept that in reality due to 360's high failure rate the install base might be smaller considering that many had to re-buy a 2nd / 3rd time so while MS sold 60+ units the actual install base might be much less.. (considering how much lemmings talk about how amazing is live, those who have an live account are much less compared to the total install base)

i dont agree.. you pick your 1st console due to its exclusives... 360 & PS3 share the majority of multiplats, so if I have to choose i'd say which exclusives I cant afford to miss..

Halo, Geow, Forza mmm then i pick a 360

Mario, Zelda, Metroid mmm then i go for a Wii

GT, GOW, Uncharted etc mmm then i go for a PS3..

So although exclusives are generally smaller in no. comapred to multiplats for each system, they still are a huge deciding factor when picking up a system..

There are many reasons why one would choose a system over the other and in a gen where good exclusives are pretty rare, the reasons I mentioned are quite important.

personally i dont go by what friends got, cause I honestly always got what i wanted and go by my personal tastes in gaming.. however like you said others do..

my point is that we cannot twist things to our liking, so when exclusives are coming out in a regular way these matter, then when exclusives are lacking we resort to multiplats as being THE most important.. I think both are essential in a system's gaming library however i cant imagine someone picking system X so he can play Madden or Street Fighter, considering they're available on all systems..

However other reasons such as price, online service, reliability etc are also important to keep in mind when buying a gaming system..
