Actually, that's not true. Business often go after marketshare (i.e. units sold) as a core strategy, even at the expense of profit (see MS last gen). Well, if you're going by market share and units sold, both 360 and PS3 sold just over 10 million consoles each in 2008 despite PS3 costing twice as much.
