Absolutely not. It's not black and white. Lots of great games sell well. Lots of bad games sell well. Lots of good games sell worse than they should. Lots of bad games sell as poorly as they should.

And it's last place according to what? In terms of sales? Yes but only by a hair. In terms of quality and value? No, PS3 is definately first when it comes to that.

Lemmings can't brag about games, online, graphics, or the 360 it's self because even they know it's inferior to PS3. So they have to argue sales because it's all they got. Lemmings are done, they have lost. There are very few lemmings left on here anymore, most of them became Cows because they found out that it is indeed the superior system.

Not necessarily. There are many more factors involved. Hence why marketing is so important, as well as pricing a console competitively and making sure the system offers enough to be worth a purchase.

Hence the subjectivity, what is pocket change to one person may be a great sum of money to another. Similarly, what is a suitable amount of good games, may not be enough to others.

Also absolutely not. You're completely ignoring the people who buy something they thought they would like, and then don't like it so much. Also ignoring the people who buy multiple consoles. They count as a sale for both, and who knows which one they actually like better, or use more? Also, there's the people who bought a console way back when it was new, and have since stopped playing games entirely, and may or may not have bought another, different console, if they still played. Plus sh!tloads of other factors, too numerous to bother naming. Long story short, no. Sales are not a pure black and white "vote" of what people think is the "best".

Do you even go to school? seriously why the posters here are mostly 10 yr olds?? sales mean nothing compared to quality of games.. so a console selling better what does that do to you? do you get something from these sales? of course not because as a gamer ( assuming ur a gamer to begin with ) the games are what matters and thats what PS3 does best ;)

PS3 came out 1 year after the xbox and tbh its doing much better than everyones expectations but hey Lems enjoy playing sales while waiting for the yearly Halo so have fun

That's because Sony failed at trying to chase the Wii's pot of Gold. If Move had not failed all over the place you would have seen the same games on Move that are on Kinect, and the Wii. Don't fool yourself into believing Sony didn't want a share of those profits.

No, you're not. The Wii has incredible sales because of great marketing, and targeting casual gamers/people who aren't even gamers. My parents own a Wii, and not a single game for it (except Wii sports, which came with it). They use it to watch netflix on the big TV. And besides, it's been explained more than clearly enough in this thread why sales numbers are not an exact projection of the quality of a product. If you still don't get it, it's because you're like 10 years old and don't understand logic and reason. Stay in school. Don't do drugs.

Actually from my perspective, I doubt that many of us PS3 guys even care about sales to begin with. In fact I would say Lemmings are the only one's who care, they obsess about sales and always obsessively post news articles about Sony's stock and MS.

This leads me to believe you guys are either share holders, or you're not very happy with your system and have nothing else to brag about, so yo uare forced to stick with sales and stocks because you know the PS3 beats 360 in everything else. It's scraping the bottom of the barrel basically.

The console that has the most games usually comes up on top.

Atari 2600, NES, Game Boy, PS1, PS2, DS and Wii had the most games in their gens and sold the best (only exception could be the Sega Genesis which had more games than SNES but didn't sell as good).

And while it's true that most Wii games were shovelware, the amount of crappy PS1 and PS2 titles was also big.

Just friendly advice, you don't use apostrophes for plurals except for plural abbreviations. For example, "Lemmings are the only one's who care". There's no apostrophe there, it's still just a plural. "Lemmings are the only ones who care" would be correct.

The 360 delivered the biggest bang for the buck since 2005 with generally the best multi's, controller & exclusives plus XBLA and indies making it the best overall console so therefore... 360 = Winner, winner, chic erm umm, steak dinner. :P
