If the ps3 were the market leader, gaming as a whole would suffer. Games would be developed with the ps3 as the lead platform. Games would suffer from inferior gaming hardware as well as an overly difficult development process, just like last gen. Instead of greatness being realised from the start of the generation all the way through, it would 5-6 years before any real potential was reached, just like last gen. We are all really lucky that the ps3 isn't the market leader. Even ps3 owners are benefiting from this, if the 360 hadn't thrown down the gauntlet on multi-plats, I garuntee you developers woldn't have spent that extra time trying to make the ps3 version match the quality of the 360 version.
everyone should really think about what happens if PS3 wins this gen you know what next gen will be for sony? try $799 starting price for PS4 sony needs to get there is a price ceiling that even the hardcore of hardcore don't pay that much for a game console.

The 360 won't drop out on you like that.The 360 runs a clean honest race. I guess you were too overwhelmed in your previous thread with a similar topic that you had to create a new one. 3rd party devs. choose what console they want to work on, there's no force involved. And it doesn't look as though they're having a hard time programming for the PS3 so far.

Actually, my last thread was a smashing success with over 200 posts. Just because I had to listen to impotent comments from people like yourself, doesn't mean that the thread failed.
gaming would be in serious trouble if the market leader was a system w/ very very few quality games. thats not a knock or anything, but my feelings on the subject. if ps3 took the market back in its current state that tells me that games are simply not important to console buyers, and the resulting games would sadly reflect that.

I am a lemming, yes. The ps3's hardware has shown to be inferior in not one or two but pretty close to all multi-plats. Developers are having problems with RAM limitations and the SPU's. Currently,all ps3 games runalmost entirely on the single PPE of the Cell. By comparison the 360 has 3 of these cores. More or less, if you have a ps3, you could compare it to an overclocked Pentium 4 with a decent graphics card.
