299 for 360 hardware is still not worth it . dvd still? shared ram lol ! no standard memory even the last xbox has it . hdmi not on every system lol. having to pay to play 20 players on laggy peer to peer . 100 wi fi 200$ 120gb hard dive milkage anyone?deadmeat59

Is more likely that MS will go down with the price or up with the machine features than go toe to toe with PS3.

Besides i really dont think about that rumour, i dont see PS3 dropping price until end of 2008.

If MS allows Sony to match them in price in the next two years then I would question the intelligence of this company honestly.

Eventually I'm sure they will match because you can only drop it so much but right now for the next 2 years or so they gotta be ahead in price by ATLEAST $50. If not then maybe they should buy some Wii suits and learn how to do business

That's what I said about the drop to $400 last year, but I was wrong. I think Sony is willing to lose money on the PS3 this entire generation if it means a sure victory for Blu-Ray.

Anyway, if they do perform the drop, I'm sure MS will counter.

Pokemon's out. It sucks. Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Wii Fit and the already huge Wii demand make it unstoppable in 08.

Peer to peer is laggy. Sure, I love the 360, but you have dedicated servers for a reason. Exactly why people still love gaming on the pc more than consoles. Anybody can set up a dedicated server on there.

But when that happens? The wii better lower its price. Everyone can admit the thing is overpriced anyways. 300$ for a true current gen system, is deffinatly more affordable than how it was at first. I just wonder if this is going to happen this year. The ps3s development cost halfed in just alittle more than a year, and I'm sure the 360s development costs have went down as well dramatically. 400$ now to make a ps3, means it can be lowered to 300$ anyday if they want to risk losing some money. Wonder the amount it takes to make a 360.

The wii will never need saving. You know why? Because since the start of the wii launch, nintendo has been making money on every single thing they make on that system. Loads of it. The system is still going to sell well, even if they keep being greedy and sell it for 250$. I'm just wondering why so few have used the whole n$ntendo term yet. Brawl will sell well, because it is a casual game at heart that hardcores can get into. See, even if nintendo stopped supporting the thing with great games this year *which actually, is looking likely. As was the case with the gamecube*, they still came out very successful.
