My response: Defensive much?? If the enjoyment is low and the game looks way to violent and monochrome, it will be argued that it is one more homoerotic, violent, 1337, shooter game.

And sure immature people buy M rated games, and they are still 17and under most of the time. Teens and especially their 1337 friends don't want E rated games. They want their GeOW and GOW, and Halo; games that don't remind people of the enjoyments of life (FUN), color, and "real" gameplay.

I know hes insecure. I know that of the 3, the Wii is marketed to children and families. He is anything but right. He only owns the Wii as a current gen console.

How the hell is that proving his point? Saturday morning cartoons are not for kids? Seems clear to me they are. All you have to do is watch one and see the commercials that air.

It is a family console, family's revolve around children. That does not mean an adult can not enjoy a Nintendo console. Or that Nintendo does not try and make/release games for that audience.

But games like NMH try way to hard to be "mature".

The console is marketed as a family console.

A point which is infallible... You're basing a product on its audience instead of its content (sounds familiar...). Sure, grown adults can watch a talking monkey who is a pacifist, but the content was design to cater to children. The whole reason it's called a "Family" experience is that it brings a moral statue that kids can learn that parents should be teaching. It's absurd to think Nintendo can be consider "mature".

I know right. Because if you dont like saturday morning cartoons and Mario you are insecure. I mean that is the only reason why an adult would not like these characters right?

Creating entire threads refuting the obvious, that nobody is bashing it for, is insecure.

I dont see what would be so blasphemous about admitting its primarily a family console. And its not obvious that anything made for the family must first be made digestible for the children?

This is like the sheep constantly vomiting out the words game-play, as though any gamer does not want game-play. Vomit "your insecure", vomit "game-play".

The sheep's argument is if you don't like like every E-rated game that has every color of the rainbow in it your insecure. Thats like saying a 20 year old isn't going to go see some Disney movie in theatres because he's insecure.

The Wii is kiddy because Nintendo always had a family-oriented image. It was until the 32/64-bit era with the PS1 when games started to get more and more mature and having darker stories/gameplay.
