[QUOTE="lolfiretruck"][QUOTE="-GhostMLD-"][QUOTE="SER69"]If the Wii is Kiddy then I gotta say that the 360/PS3 are for the closeted homosexual violent type of person. Cows and Lemmings always say this is not the case when all the factors are staring them in the face.

1. Of all the consoles. PS3/360 has the least diversity of games.

2. Almost ALL of Ps3/360 games "play it safe", you won't find anything else than homoerotic shooters.

3. Of all the consoles. PS3/360 has the most homoerotic games.

******It is because of this that the majority of kids 17 and under have serious maturity problems and buy a PS3/360. Its simply a truth that you 20+ sheep have to deal with. Quite simply, the content the PS3/360 delievers is best suited for kids 17 and under, and inmature older people.******

-now and again, Sony/Microsoft releases a VivaPiñata/LittleBigPlanet/Banjo Threeie or a E game or two to please the Sony/Microsoft fans parents. But they are quite the visible minority. The 360/PS3 catalogue of games are simply geared for insecure, inmature, violent audiences and ******so the 1337 players can enjoy it******, essentially neglecting fans who want a diversity.

MOST POPULAR COW/LEMMING RESPONSE: "What is immature? It seems the kiddy people buy the E rated games"

My response: Defensive much?? If the enjoyment is low and the game looks way to violent and monochrome, it will be argued that it is one more homoerotic, violent, 1337, shooter game.

And sure immature people buy M rated games, and they are still 17and under most of the time. Teens and especially their 1337 friends don't want E rated games. They want their GeOW and GOW, and Halo; games that don't remind people of the enjoyments of life (FUN), color, and "real" gameplay.

Quite simply, the 360/PS3 games play it safe, they stay all the same. They want insecures to know this so they can tell their parents to buy it for them. And teens like the boring gameplay, depresing colors and characters of Gears of War, GT5, Forza(etc), so they in turn also want it.

My point: Lemmings/Cows that are 20+, you essentially invested in a teens console (or at least a console marketed to insecure teens). The lack of varied titles and most homoerotic and monochrome M titles also reinforce this.

*******If you want people to think that the PS3/360 isn't kiddy/immature/homoerotic so you can feel better about your PS3/360 purchase, I find that sad. The PS3/360 is kiddy/immature/homoerotic, your not above 20 (mentally), deal with it.*******

-GhostMLD-

lol, this guy COMPLETELY RIPPED OFF my thread I made 2 days ago. Wow, I must of hurt his feelings cause he relaized he bought a kiddy console.

1. Wrong, PS3 may not, but 360 has every genre covered many times over.

2. Mass Effect story, Bioshock atmosphere, etc. Homoerotic shooters? someones angry they cant play the "big boy games" on their Wii. LOL.

3. Again, PS3 maybe. But still, your clearly upset that the Wii doesnt offer the "big boy" content that PS3/360 has.

Listen, your clearly upset that the Wii has the least amount of M content of the 3 and thats fine, think what you want.

"*******If you want people to think that the PS3/360 isn't kiddy/immature/homoerotic so you can feel better about your PS3/360 purchase, I find that sad. The PS3/360 is kiddy/immature/homoerotic, your not above 20 (mentally), deal with it.*******"

Your CLEARLY insecure about your Wii purchase. You CRAVE ppl accept the Wii as not kiddy so you can sleep better at night. I KNOW that the 360/PS3 isn't kiddy cause of the content. Whether o not they are immature is irrelevant. Point is, they ARENT kiddy and everybody knows it. The Wii however is most kiddy of the 3 and you, again, have to sleep knwoing that.

Why are you so butthurt? Is it because you know he's right?

I know hes insecure. I know that of the 3, the Wii is marketed to children and families. He is anything but right. He only owns the Wii as a current gen console.

ANd "SURPRISE", hes taking offense to that his only console doesnt have "big boy" games.

Please! Stop saying "big boy" games! You are making me cry of laughter!!!!!

The "kiddie" argument is an insecurity. It's stated by people who have a need to go out of their way to say they're mature.

It's laughable.

Haziqonfire

If the Wii isn't kiddy then neither are Saturday morning cartoons.

All you are doing is proving that guys point.

How the hell is that proving his point? Saturday morning cartoons are not for kids? Seems clear to me they are. All you have to do is watch one and see the commercials that air.

Saturday morning cartoons might be aimed at kids, but it doesnt mean that only kids should watch them. Adults and teens watch them too, who cares. Entertainment is entertainment, not everyones going to like the same things.

The point he's making that cartoons are "4kids". Nothing is wrong with adults watching them. Inadequate to call people who don't watch "kid content" shows insecure. The fact is you're(in general) insecure for defending the obvious...

It is a family console, family's revolve around children. That does not mean an adult can not enjoy a Nintendo console. Or that Nintendo does not try and make/release games for that audience.

But games like NMH try way to hard to be "mature".

The console is marketed as a family console.

Insecurity at its best

I know right. Because if you dont like saturday morning cartoons and Mario you are insecure. I mean that is the only reason why an adult would not like these characters right?

Creating entire threads refuting the obvious, that nobody is bashing it for, is insecure.

I dont see what would be so blasphemous about admitting its primarily a family console. And its not obvious that anything made for the family must first be made digestible for the children?

This is like the sheep constantly vomiting out the words game-play, as though any gamer does not want game-play. Vomit "your insecure", vomit "game-play".

I'm curious what they think we're insecure about? Our masculinity, sexuality? You kind of need to specify when you call someone insecure.

Creating entire threads, or calling people out for stating the obvious, show they are insecure about liking something that is made with kids in mind.

Its obvious that characters like Mario and Zelda are made with the idea that both adults and kids will play them. With that in mind that are certain standards that people expect when choosing entertainment that they will allow children to play.

Something that is more mature is not just gratuitous crap. There are things in life, basic facts and things that adults can relate too, that are not pleasant or appropriate for children.

Mario as a game is fun, Mario as a character does nothing, or faces anything, that adults can relate to in any meaning-full way. That does not mean an adult can not have fun with the game. But all of my favorite games are my favorite because they are both fun to play and have characters that are much more interesting, but not appropriate for children.

I would say that both children and adults read Harry Potter but that doesn't make them as good as Dostoevsky's "The Idiot." I like character development, plot development, things I can relate to and criticisms and commentary of real life and such in my games. I'm looking for a more mature game and Nintendo can't offer that to me. It's "kiddy" to me and I don't see why that's offensive to some people. I don't see how it's not kiddy but to each their own. Great post, totally agree with everything.

I see the offended reaction coming from teens. Because we all know that when you reach a certain age you will be ridiculed by your peers for enjoying something that is made for kids.

Because it is NATURAL for kids getting ready for adult years to attempt to shed their identity as a child. Once you are an adult though we often become nostalgic for those years and again can find them entertaining publicly without compromising our identity as an adult.

I found the Harry Potter novels brilliant. And one of the main reasons why is because they kindled something in me that fed my need for nostalgia, and the often exaltation of what life was like as a child. I think a lot of adults still love Mario for the same reason. Its like grabbing on to a piece of your history. But Harry Potter is much more Sophisticated then Mario or Zelda.

Mario and Zelda NEVER face moral dilema, or are we the player, ever presented with the option between good and evil. I prefer taking the good path in my games (I need RPG's that give me an option) but having the option makes doing the good thing much, much more satisfying.

Although in Zelda TP I would have given Zelda's left nut to feed those kids to the dogs. They were so annoying.
