If the XBOX 360 Doesn't win the console race, I will quit gaming forever.

I never said suicide, I would never do that, but more of a withdrawal from day to day life, in general. Man, I would be so depressed. But if the 360 comes out on top in console sales, everything will be fine and dandy.  

don't worry, atleast in north america, 360 will continue to dominate.  outside of U.S.; however, ppl hate Americans (jealousy) and often refuse to buy american made products.

and I will quit system wars. Life will just not be worth it if either the PS3 or Wii beats the 360 in the console race. It will simply not be fair, to me or to my life. How does console sales effect your personal gaming experiance what so ever. Try not to become a fanboy and life suddenly becomes alot easier when your don't have to defend/prove your opinion.

They literally mean everything to gamers like me. They are mostly all I talk about with my gaming friends. I might buy another 360 just to help numbers! But really, I would probably go into hardcore depression if the 360 loses, even if the Wii overtakes the 360 for a little while. I take these sales numbers really seriously, and I would probably cry if my PS3 friends tried to brag about the 360 losing to the PS3.

A real gamer loves the games, plays the games, and doesn't cry about sales numbers of consoles. You're clearly a lemming. Xbox didn't come in first last gen, I still played the hell out of Halo and some other games. I even made good use of XBL. Who cares if 360 doesn't come in first.. it'll still have good games just like every other console on the market. Stop crying fanboy :P

I talk about it with my parents all the time, at dinner. So yes, console sales are a major part of my life (other than school, biking, and my dog). I estimate that 75% of my daily conversations are about console sales. My home page on firefox is nextgenwars, so I can easily check the sales stats. And you are trying to tell ME that console sales are not important???? Not all of us are so "Cool" like you, I guess, but this stuff I take very seriously. So seriously that I would bet my gaming future on it. Or not really bet, but I would be so jaded by gaming, and getting cheated by M$ that I could never game again, or post on system wars. I would be depressed as %#@&! Seriously, life would have a pale hue to it in the weeks after the 360 losing, with pain being my only window into reality.

I like to eat doritos and capri suns a lot, especially when I play my 360. If the 360 loses, I would not eat my favorite foods, mostly in protest of the 360 losing. But also because I was so depressed, man.

Sales are important, for the companies that the numbers truly benefit. Numbers equal better third party support, and more games, if the games are good, that benefits US the GAMERS.

I don't think you will quit...and stop taking it all so seriously.

Whatever machine wins I am sure all 3 will be success all round.

I had an Xbox last gen, as well as a GC, and even though the PS2 won when I trully believe it should have been the Xbox that got all the support and sales etc, I still enjoyed my machine and it was still well worth it, and that is all that really matters.

It's not your job to take the burden of the world on your shoulders. People buy what they buy for various reasons, and while you may not feel the same you have to just get over it.

Enjoy your Xbox 360 and stop getting so worked up about everything else. Also, it's just games man, and even though I too have true passion in my heart for them, it's just games.

Life is much more than that, so enjoy it AND enjoy your games...
