Handhelds. But they wont flop. Read the news once in a while and see what the DS is doing. Wii is running under the same formula. hiho24
yah the same fornula might not work for the more demanding market

then again, it might. We'll have to wait and see.[QUOTE="hiho24"]Handhelds. But they wont flop. Read the news once in a while and see what the DS is doing. Wii is running under the same formula. McLarenAK47

the DS has more games...
the console market is far more demanding.... and japan is the only place DS outshines the psp.. so that strategy doesnt seem to work as well in the states and UK...
It doesn't matter if Nintendo is 3rd. As long as profit comes, they will never leave. Of course, if things as the amount of consoles sold over each next gen keeps going down, it wont be good in the long run.Knight_of_Malta
Nintendo Wii won't appeal to non-gamers. They will obviously think it's childish and annoying to play.blackredblackWhat!? LOL, you got Own3d by your backwards prediction!
Nintendo is heading towards Niche much like that Nokia NGage is. Nokia NGage still have customer as people still buy games for it but it niche when compared to PSP/GBA/DS.After a certain point if the trend continues then it will be moot to mention Nintendo in the same breath as Sony/MSPusherTLOL, the funny thing is that the Wii is actually making the 360 and the PS3 look more like the niche platforms (for hardcore gamers) while the Wii is for everyone (non-gamers/casuals/hardcore).
There a very real possiblity that Wii can be 3rd place again and lose even more "marketshare" to Sony/MS. Many of the Sheep here seem to be in denial that the "Wii" can flop and Flop hardPusherTI don't think Nintendo is too worried at the moment.
I say that Nintendo will easily be in dead last again.blackredblackGood Call, Buddy . . . NOT!
I'm expecting the Wii to do poorly in North America and EuropeZebethOrZebesExpectations not met!
Good points but I think Nintendo will have a hard time this generations. So many ppl are looking forward to PS3 and the X360 will have many upcoming games that have great sells. Nintendo will probably get neglected more than ever this time around.blackredblackLOL
With the Wii looking to easily, in less than a year, sell over half what the Gamecube sold in its entire lifespan I don't think there's much of any possibility to question whether it will sell better than the Gamecube did.
Edit: Sheesh, what's with the frequent bumping of like 1year+ old topics lately?
