I think the word "support" isn't such a narrow word. I bought Windows because I need one, that doesn't mean I want to support them or anything, I just payed them money. Everybody already has Windows, so games support it. Microsoft doesn't have control over any of the content in these games, and they don't make any money off them, but somehow they own PC gaming.
