I want a Batman game that has a GTA feel but at night. It would also be cool to go to the mansion/batcave whenever you wanted

It matters, I would want to recreate many old games that are already out, and I have a few (bad) ideas for video games.

But if I made a developing company, I guess the first game I would want to make would be a post-apocalyptic survival roguelike.

Two big ones for me were Dr. Mario with different game types, colors, items, leveling, and then a complete 3D Pokemon game that played like the handheld ones, in HD.

The Sims but in the first person, but you control one character in a preset universe. Basically just a life simulator.

Lots of things. One of most recent ideas was an arcade shooter not much unlike Perfect Dark, but with player statistics, weapons that have specific strengths and weaknesses and different kinds of armor/protection. A kind of rock-paper-scissors shooter that focuses on splitscreen multiplayer with botss, customizable maps (map editor i.e. Timesplitters) and equipment load-outs (not intended for realism, but for making it more interesting than just reaction time).

Just a question, do you guys think about stuff like this a lot? Because I do and I always wonder if other people do.

Like just today, my friend and I were thinking about Kratos being in Smash Bros. with his final smash being a brutal QTE "kill" on one of your opponents.

I've always wanted a game to be centered around gravity. So I'd guess if i made a game gravity would be the theme.

another one that I thought of was a prototype style open world game, except it is completely cell shaded, in a JSRF style, and the environments are all destructable.

a 2 player (online co-op or split screen) hack-n-slash game which requires you to develop strategies between the two players in order to beat bosses and take on large waves of enemies. Technical with a high learning curve, similar to that of Bayonetta/DMC series/NG series.

Mass Effect(conversation simulator)+Crysis(open/dynamic/destructable world)+Fallout 3(RPG stat components) hybrid that allows for Natal as a secondary/additional controller.

  • Scribblenauts + Mass Effect conversation-focused rpg

the idea being that the user should be able to say whatever they want to say (and no it wouldn't be too complicated nor would it ever break a game design's pacing or structure)

  • Shadow of the Colossus + Just Cause 2 open-world sandbox game

SOTC was already kinda open-world in that there's an over-world you use everytime to access all the colossi, now take out the kid and replace him with some cracked-out super-soldier on a just cause 2 sized map with colossi the size of liberty city

  • Final Fantasy, playing as the villian

think playing as the cliche underdog is getting old? why not flip the entire series upside down (and rpg's in general along with it)

http://udk.com/- Unreal 3 engine is free for non-commercial games and was what Batman AA used.

http://www.blender.org/- Free and powerful 3d modeling software

http://www.gimp.org/- free photo editing program can use to make textures

http://bloodshed-dev-c.en.softonic.com/- c++ compiler

There ya go the basic tools needed to create a game. Instead of just dreaming about making your gta batman, why dont you actually do it. you can find all the tutorials you need over the internet.

My game would be a console MMO with: - Fast, immediate, tactile, balanced, action-oriented melee combat, with magic and abilities mixed in, but not set in a generic fantasy world, it would be an eclectic mix with a unique art style and theme - Skill trees, specializations, and an incredibly deep progression system - Loot, loot, LOOT, LOOT, LOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! - Different classes combine to do combo moves, a la Marvel: UA - "Town" hubs like Guild Wars, which would hold 200 people a piece and are essentially 3D lobbies - 4-8 man instanced zones, again like Guild Wars. You could do these zones with less people, so you could still solo or duo anything, but the amount of loot, enemies, and quest chains you could complete would increase with bigger parties. Grinding would still be possible but raid bosses would only appear with 6/8 or more and more loot would drop for bigger groups - A convenient plot point that allows players to quickly access all kinds of different locales which would vary from jungle to snow and everything in between (like a portal) - Mounts or vehicles, depending on mythology - Houses which could store all your stuff... saved locally but verified by a small file that's server-based or something... - Community-designed shared content like dungeons or special items, as long as they fit into stat limitations - Frequent updates with new content like dungeons and raid bosses I would pay for these features and keep servers running by playing ads in the load screens, and, if the theme was appropriate, through product placement and in-game ads. I would love this game, so it's what I would make. Basically my dream game. To sum up, GoW/NG combat + magic mixed with RPG progression, classes and skills, Guild Wars' server and faux-MMO system and party system, Marvel Ultimate: Alliance team-up combos.... you see where I'm going. The 8-player co-op and town hubs with voice chat would be the biggest addiction and selling point.

It would be an RPG with a slower more tactical combat that is very visceral and pretty to look at (Witcher meets Demon's Souls) it would be a PC exclusive. It would have emphasis on story and dialogue, with many dialogue options affecting the game without putting emphasis on it (Most choices in games feel forced to me) you would have to make many morally grey choices throughout the game. The world would be very very very weird inhabited by strange and eccentric creatures, the style would be like A Nightmare Before Christmas meets Planescape and Morrowind, very eccentric, beautiful and brutal. There would be lots and lots of sub text and a truly great message in the game, the whole style of the game would be off beat helter skelter and just leave you going "WTF" Story goes something like this: You are from a mysterious village, you have no contact from the outside world, you are not permitted to leave the village ever, and nobody comes into the village. Every 90 years a "Chosen one" is picked from the village, being a chosen one is actually the opposite of what you think it would be, it's horrific and many horrifying tales of "The chosen one" are told. Being a chosen one means that you are taken from your family, and your family is also taken away never to be seen again. You as the chosen one are taken away into a dungeon that nobody knows about but a few select men (Whom have been around for centuries and look frightening) and you are kept there for 10 years. For those 10 years you are taught the culture, the land and the races of a mysterious and strange world (The one described earlier) that you had never known about before (Nor anybody else but those select men who are teaching you) in the mysterious world they know about humans and they hate humans, you're never told why but they say it doesn't matter. Youre mission is to go to this strange world (Through a hole in the ground outside town, guarded by more mysterious men) but since they hate humans you can't look like one, so they disfigure you and make you as non human as possible. After the 10 years of disfigurement, study, training and whatnot they shove you down the hole where you are transported to any one of 100's of different adjacent holes in this mysterious world. Your mission? A mystery to you, you are only told to meet a strange man by the name of Manus in a town. What happened to your wife? Your kid? Who's Manus? Why are you going to this place? Why do the inhabitants hate humans? What's with the town being secluded? It's all a mystery and it unravels as you play.

I love these threads. They let me spread my idea that I've been tweaking for a couple of years. I'll just copy and paste what's in my blog post about it.

I have an idea for a new Action RPG named Ut Liberatio. Please give feedback.

It's 2019. An evil dictator, "Soter", has taken over the world with his army of followers. They are the Occultus Phasma Phasmatis. You start off as a recruit for the powerful resistance organization, Ut Liberatio. You have to do missions in a game world based off of satelite images of every nook and cranny on Earth. You begin progressing and soon become the leader of a two-man squad all the way up to Commander-and-Chief of Ut Liberatio. The final boss fight is a multi-stage battle against the dictator. And yes, it will be an actual boss fight, not just a wave of enemies or a weak person or any other of the way bosses have been.

It would play like Fallout 3, as in the first/third person perspectives and aiming, just no VATS. You could use any thing as a weapon, e.i. a stick, a brick, a rock, a chicken, a gun, a broken gun, a blown up gun, a disenigrated gun, a flashlight, street lights, etc. You could modify the weapons, fix broken weapons, or craft new weapons. You can by, find, and drive any vehicle and any destroyed one can be put back in working order.

The enemies, NPCs, and soldiers all look unique and special. Each and every one of the billions of NPCs has it's own story. The game also has a very long story, with 100,000+ story missions and billions of side quests given out by NPCs of all races. At the beginning, you pick a native language and then you have to take classes and read books to raise your knowledge of other languages. You will also have skill levels for eaverything imaginable, e.i. handgun aiming, assault rifle aiming, sniper rifle aiming, sub-machine gun aiming, chain gun aiming, flamethrower aiming, etc. You will have a level cap, but it'll be 999,999,999,999,999.

There would be a multiplayer portion, but only after development of the game has concluded. It'll will be FREE and I don't care WHAT Microsoft says. It will have two portions. The first is a massive multiplayer experiance where the world is filled with thousands of players at a time, like an MMO, but better. The other would be a basic, FPS-style multiplayer, where you can still level up. You could designate any area in the world as you battlegrounds.

Heheh, I'd love to see that one day. You are in a great position I believe. Just the other day, your idea of the game set in ancient Rome was tight.

I have so many ideas. Eve and I brainstorm all ofthe time as well. Episode Eve even comes from a game he thought of when he was 13 lol. It was a mix of Fallout 3, Killzone 2, and Gears of War (I won't give away any specifics  ). This was 9 years ago lol. It's fun and disappointing to see your ideas come to fruition in various games years later.

An epic steampunk medieval fantasy roleplaying game in which all the "standard fantasy races" (douchey humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, etc.) are in a strained coexistance in an industrialized fantasy setting, where each race is representative of a different political faction, and your choices of who to support and who to stand against are based off of multi-faceted political ideologies instead of simple black/white morality.

That or a third person shooter snowboarding game.

A 4X game based on the Mass Effect universe, with campaigns that spawn from the First Encounter War, Rachni War, Krogan Rebellion, and the System Alliance conflict with the Batarians. In short, more like a cross between the Total Wars Series and Sins of a Solar Empire, but having moral choices that can have lasting consequences for the player.

Along with my friend we enjoy thinking about our own game and we actually have alot of ideas but ofcourse no talent or cash to make anything of it. Anyway out idea is to have an mmo type game that is basically stripped to the essence of PvP gameplay.

Something like Bourne would be cool. Not exactly a born video game but something like that where you must escape from the cops or whoever is chasing you by using strategy and tactics and stuff like that.

Also an open world sanbox game from a first person perspective were you can explore the city like Mirror's Edge by climbing and stuff (not AC2/ inFAMOUS climbing, something like Mirror's Edge, but a little more realistic.)

Killzone game in which you control a group of Helghast scout assassins on a mission to kill the ISA grand general.
