If you didn't buy a 360 in 06 or 07 why buy one ever? here's why.

In 2006 360 got Gears of War. In 2007 they received Halo 3. What 2008 look like? There big hit exclusives are Halo Wars, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Too Human. The rest is rumored to hit PC at the same time, games such as Fable too.

Now my point is ALMOST ALL 360 exclusives eventually hit the PC. Gears of War check, Halo 3 will, Mass Effect will, Bioshock check. My point is their is no exclusive reason to own a 360 in 08 or beyon. Unless you have a hard one for NG2 or Halo Wars. Honestly, its almost pointless. This thread is for those thinking of buying a 360, not guys that already do.

In 08 I have KIllzone 2, MGS4, LBP, GT5, SH5, Socom, and others.

Maybe people would rather play the game when it comes out rather than waiting years to play it. I dont see the point in paying twice the amount of money to wait a year or more to play the same game. You talk about how eventually Halo 3 and Mass Effect will go to PC, well you can emulate nearly every game (im not sure about every game) eventually so consoles are teh useless!

Sorry, I haven't bought a 360 yet and I'm going to. Didn't see anything in your pot that made me pause to think.

My list of games I need to get that are already out is ALREADY way over ten (and I took a lot of them off. Juts kept the ones I HAVE to get). Not to mention tons of games that I know are coming.

I don't game on PC and never will.

I hate MGS and GT. Don't care about Killzone or Socom. Not impressed by LBP or SH5.

Forza and Forza 2 outscored Gran Turismo 4 overall on GameRankings. Sony fans use GameRankings now, so that's why I'm giving that as an example. You can use Gamespot if you want, I'd still be right.

The reason not to get a PC is has any of the Socom games ever been able to be played on a PC (even trying to use an emulator).

Sounds like you should get a 360 if you were once a PC gamer and what drove you away was the dreaded blue screen and all the errors you had to deal with.

I happen to like a lot of the not so big exclusives that have been released for the 360 and so do many other people. Whether or not you have a 360 or not people will still want to buy one for games like Viva Pinata, Blue Dragon, and project gothem racing. Not only that but it is cheaper then buying a PS3 and probably always will be. Not only this but the 360 is an overall better system: better controller, better library, better online play, better backwards compatibility, better 3rd party support, better customer service, better everything. PS3 will probably survive during this console generation but I believe that it will forever remain in the shadows of the 360 and the Wii.Shenmue_Jehuty

Nice to see opinions with no facts. Fact that PS3 comes standard with more stuff making it the better system for the hardcore gamer. THe 360 might be great if your a casual gamer and don't need wireless internet. Or if you don't need a hard drive. Library in self is gently shifting in favor of the PS3. Better controller? Thats a matter of opinion, personally I have the button layout for the right hand side and the d pad is junk. Better backwards compatibility? Most people own the 80 gig or 60 gig. Both with BC, and the PS2 library of 2,800+ games with the PS1's huge library TRUMP the small 1,500 give or take 100 games that was on the Xbox. So that opinion is flawed. Better online PLay P2P is better then dedicated servers? I don't think so. PS3 online > 360 online. PS3 doesn't need customer support because our systems don't break.

You missed my point like everyone else.

The point is, IF you don't already have a 360. Their is no point in getting one for the games COMING in the future or the games that are out. Because if you exclude games that will pc as well. Then you really just have a system with no exclusives.

Ps2 and Ps1 have each over 8.000 titles. (most weird japanese games that will never see the light of day in the west)
