I just finished Guns of the Patriots. Brilliant game. One of the best ever. After screwing around with some other PS3 exclusives, I noticed a distinct lack of fun. Seriously, ATM the PS3 only has a few decent exclusives, all mostly linear shooters and boring racers. I think the PS3 is an excellent machine, but after borrowing a friend's for a while while he's on vacation so I can finish MGS4, is there any reason to buy one?noswear

Anyway, MGS4 is a love and hate game. You'll love it when you first play it but after like a month or so you'll hate it and forget about it and move on. Its not even in the same caliber of replayability as games like Halos.

still enjoying MGO as much as i enjoy Halo3 online.... the only difference is that MGSIV is simply an amazing experience (sp)..

heavenly sword is a good game but yeah I agree Ive tried Uncharted and it felt broken

Ive got ratchet and clank and it doesnt make me want to keep playing same goes for resistance I dont get it I really thought I would love resistance but its missing something I really hope killzone feels a lot better

GT5 just doesn't feel fun

I got motorstorm hoping that would relieve some racing pangs but after two or three races it start feeling like you've done it all before and I haven't played it again.

I dont think it is just the PS3 though I think the calibre of a lot of games has dropped significantly this generation I really hope its not a continuing trend

I would agree to an extent but dont look at future games coming out just look at the current game libraries, games you can actually test future games may look good but they dont always turn out that way

Is this thread about you wondering if you have a reason for keeping your PS3 or if there are more reasons for others buy one? If it's the latter, as the title suggests, then whether you like Warhawk or not is immaterial. It's still a solid game and most gamers will definitely enjoy it.

Star Ocean 3 and Ninja Balde are the only 2009 titles I can think of. I'm not too worried about the 2009 lineup, the 360 has been doing well enough so far

yes you might be honest, but when posting that apart from MGSIV there is nothing that appeals to you on PS3, it looks more like a fanboyish comment rather than an opinion... there are many games on the PS3 but if you really cannot see anything else which catches your interest, you should just sell your PS3 and enjoy PC gaming..

I have 40 more reasons why i like PS3

31 more games along MGSIV, 6 x PSN titles, Good free online service and Blu-ray...

I also have many reasons why i like my 360, PC & PSP, since i never buy a system just for one game, with all due respect i find it stupid to waiste money on a system for just a game..

People seem to forget that there is something called Multiplats on the Ps3 too:?

COD4, Battlefield, Oblivion, etc etc are all fine games and worth buying a Ps3 for

Im glad I did not pay for my PS3, as the notion of spending $700AUD one is preposterous.

There are decent games, but nothing that grabs my interest currently, other than MGS4 - even though it was great, I would have never bought a system for it.... and I say that as an MGS fan who wanted to do so.

For sure there are some good games for PS3 but i think MGS4 and free online are the only reazon to prefer the PS3 over the 360

Those are exclusives. Why put multiplatforms on that list when the TC owns a PC and quite possibly a 360.

PSN's fault. Doesn't add logevity to games. Cancelled my SOCOM preorder yesterday and the Gamestop employee wasn't too happy.

what a letdown SOCOM is eh? played it with my friend last night, and when we actually were able to play (crashed a lot and lagged out all servers at one point) it wasn't much better than the last PS2 version.

certainly. check out Uncharted. its a great game. i also think siren: blood curse is an awesome title, even though it only scored 7.5 here (which is good in my book).
