If you don't respect Nintendo, you don't respect consoles period.

They are really Pioneers.

They revived the entire market after the great crash in 83.When they found out that some nintendo's were having motherboard issues, they redesigned and fixed all of them for free. (GEE wouldn't it be nice if a certain company did that) Even when people put drinks on the top of the nintendo, they still fixed them, claiming it was their fault for having a flat design ( or at least from my experience). They Pioneered so many things:

Cartridges with memory so you could save games.

Pack- in games.

Rumble.

Analog Sticks.

Platformers as we know them.

Launch titles.

The 200 dollar sweet spot.

1. The N64 caused 3rd parties to abandon Nintendo because Nintendo was stubborn and just had to keep using the cartridge format.

2. N64 games were damned expensive compared to PS1 games

3. N64's game library was paper thin

4. "Quality over quantity" mantra turned out to be BS when the WORST GAME of all time released...Superman 64

5. That claw controller was quite awkward (To be fair, analog control was cool, as well as the introduction of rumble)

6. The N64 itself looked weird. Nice design Nintendo. Have it curved so NOTHING can sit on top of the N64. :roll:

7. Certain games requiring the expansion pak

8. No Metroid

Seriously, if you don't respect Nintendo at all for anything they've ever done, you shouldn't be a console gamer.
