True but Nintendo consoles are notorious for the extremes of this. Their first party content marking some of the finest gaming moments ever. In the same breath these gems were surrounded by mediocrity and more importantly for Nintendo's sake droughts. You can't leave out the droughts part, b/c thats a one of the defining things of Nintendo's two previous consoles.

Please, many of those "fantastic" 3rd party games will struggle for AA. The Wii is going to be missing on on the blockbuster 3rd party titles (GTA, DMC4, RE, etc.)

We got our GOTY last year. sheep were crying about how biased GS was and wanted to leave. I think lemmings stay the same (because the game library is always solid, nothing to worry them) Sheep can be all over the place, because the game library is also all over the place :lol:

You got your GOTY as there is no competition from the two as it was just released. The fact the X360 brought out their powerhouses and still loses tells u something. In case of shovelware, it is a case of rushed games. It takes more than 1 year to create a new game all due to planning not graphics. You're library is solid, true, but the fact that it is still outsold by the Wii in less than 10 months piss a lot of lemmings of to the point that Casey created a Games>Sales vote thread. Gamespot can give the lower scores to Wii, but that does not stop the Wii for overselling the X360.And youblamed Japan for it LOL

Nintendo is notorious for their terrible third party support, but known for their amazing first party titles. It would be nice if they could get some better third party games... Let's be honest though, the best games on the Wii will be Nintendo made games, and they will be few and far between.

If you didn't catch that, there will be some droughts for the Wii. There will be some good games from third party devs of coarse, but overall it will be much weaker than the other two and the majority of the games will be shovelware. Yes the PS2 did have a TON of crappy shovelware games, but they also had an amazing amount of third party games.

The problem with the Wii if you are comparing it to the PS2 is that they will not only have tons of shovelware, but they won't have as many amazing third party games that the PS2 had. They have always relied on their first party games... That Nintendo quality seal isn't for nothing after all.

This is in no way bashing the system, it's just always been this way with Nintendo consoles. Hopefully since they have a huge install base this time around there will be better third party support, but it's doubtful.

That is true, but that doesn't change the fact that the PS3 and 360 will both get a lot of these great multiplatform games while the Wii will not...

I don't understand why you bring up no AAAE, PS3 owners and Wii owners have been getting the crappy end of the stick up until now when it comes to reviews. TP, MP3, Resistance, Uncharted, UT3, and a few others should have been rated AAA at the least... Don't discredit Sigma either...

The only problem is that you don't have to buy the bad games. People who own a 360 or a PS3 can't buy the game of the year.

All consoles have awful games, if the Wii has more so be it. It's not like anyone is really going to start a thread here that Jenga beats any other games.
