 no, Bioshock looks better in every way except for maybe controls
gameplay looks to have more depth and replayability in Bioshock
the graphics and audio are top-notch and the graphics are the best I've seen on a 360 game (meaning it completely blows MP:3 away)
the story will probably be good in both
You can assume replay-ability just from the footage given? You should do previews for game professionally and use this talent to good use. This is why crystal ball threads just aren't right.I've played the demo through several times already and even with such a limited number of weapons / plasmids available in the early-going there were multiple ways to get through each situation
if the rest of the game remains like that (and the early reviews indicate that it does) than it will have great replay value
[QUOTE="crazyjames1080"]By the way, how long is Bioshock?distrbdslipsoad
20 hours at best.
I think Retro said Prime 3 would be around that long so I guess they are about even in that facet.

i have never been good at the prime games. that jump to 3D did me more bad than good. i'll manage to finish this one up in around 30 or so hours, max. :P

Once again, just like with the Halo3 beta, you CAN infer a lot from a game based off an early release build of the game, but that doesn't mean it is going to pan out the rest of the game the same way or not. Also, could you not be replaying the demo out of sheer anticipation for the game? I know people that have played through the Heavenly Sword demo at least a dozen times and that game is just a straight forward hack and slash. Saying Bioshock seems to be better in every way, with the exception of controls like you said, is a bit exaggerative don't you think?i have never been good at the prime games. that jump to 3D did me more bad than good. i'll manage to finish this one up in around 30 or so hours, max. :P

I love both the 2D and 3D iterations but I agree the 3D ones can be difficult at times. Particularly Prime 2.

It's getting perfect and near - perfect scores all over the place. Exaggeration? Nay. Truth.
This is what I'm talking about darkodonnie. You can't say that this game IS going to be perfect unless you created time travel and kept it a secret just so that you can claim ownage on a forum board. I'm not saying Bioshock will be bad or that MP3 will be inherently amazing, but to assume either or their opposites is a symbol of ignorance.Bioshocks going to nail the story, the gameplay, the customization, the graphics and even the controls will be good. after reviews of: 96% (PC Gamer UK), 10/10 (OXM), and 96/100 (pc zone)
nothing but positive previews, and an amazing demo
I think there is enough evidence pointing towards it being amazing to bet on it

Then let's caveat our statements by saying that....
.... I believe Bioshock will be better.

yea sure. bioshock will score better and sell better. period.
I don't know that Bioshock will sell better necesarily, I think outside of the hardcore gaming community it could go relatively unnoticed, wheras Metroid Prime 3 is a big 1st party franchise for Nintendo. Although, Bioshock does have both PC and 360 sales, so it could go either way in terms of sales.

BINGO was his name-o.
Before the BioShock demo, BioShock
After the demo, Metroid.
I was sort of dissapointed by the demo. Both will be amazing, but seeing Metroid makes me happy like a Japanese school girl :D
[QUOTE="LP_beats_Led_Z"]Imagine Metroid Prime with new gen controls against another generic 360 FPS. Easy winner.darkIink
Exactly, I've already played Half-Life 2. Bioshock is basically same game, better graphics. woohoo?
hmm im pretty sure bioshock is nothing like half life. but wait. Ive already played Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2. Metroid Prime 3 is basically the same game, better graphics. woohoo???

Uh, seriously? I own a Wii and 360 and it is clear that Bioshock is the better game. Of course I'm buying both games on launch date, but in some cataclysmic meltdown that forced me to choose only one of these two games, Bioshock is the clear winner.
Try not to let fanboyism get in the way. Which would you choose? I'm getting both but if I had to choose one, I'm on the fence.Nin360
i think you've come to the wrong place if you don't want fanboyism, try genral games
Metriod is a proven franchise. In fact im playing through MP2 right now, and remembering how much i enjoy Metriod Prime games.
I haven't played the demo, so can anyone confirm whether Bioshock is a corridor-esque shooter? I'm getting Doom 3 vibes.crazyjames1080
i've not played the demo, but if you watch the various videos and read the pre-views then you'll see it's not the Doom 3 walk around and left click when you see something move, it has much more interaction with the enviroment using plasmids (burn oil, electricute water, poison health bots)
Bioshock. Too many people seem to think that by not picking the other, that means they think it sucks and will be horrible. Not true. I prefer Bioshock. I prefer the story, the atmosphere, and the style. It's a truly beautiful game going by the demo and everything else we've seen.
Metroid Prime 3 looks great too. However, I'm not really sold on the Wii controls just yet. Also, the Metroid story has never really been interesting to me since the first Prime game. I did not like Echoes at all, which is why I worry about the direction the series is heading in. Prime, though, was greatness. I just don't know if Corruption will be able to reach that level again.
Bioshock looks pretty original with ALOT of talent and effort put into it. From the demo, every inch seems to have meaning. The basic splicers are really easy, though, and resources seem to be everywhere so danger was light. However, that just means I'll need to play on the harder difficulties. Also, from the videos, there are a ton of stronger splicers, strong bosses, and the Big Daddy fights of course. So I'm confident I'll find the full game challenging.
MP3 looks like it has much potential.... but Bioshock just looks mind-blowing. It gives me the same feeling of awe and amazement that the first Metroid Prime did. The Prime sequels, sadly, don't.:?
Bioshock kicks MP3's a** and rapes it. Seriously, it might just be the greatest FPs of all time. Just look at all the AAAA reviews.saleen335
One?
Look how many AAAA reviews LoZ: TP got. 8.8 here.

It's clear by screenshots, videos, previews, and a demo of only of the games?
How so?
[QUOTE="skrat_01"]BIOSHOCK.
