Can't ****ing stand them. Knowing how many people WoW has in its clutches scares the hell out of me.

My brother bought the game yesterday :(Now sit back and watch as he slowly begins to neglect his social responsibilities and civic duties.
That's not fair. The same could be said about any genre if you're interested in it. Sure, MMO's are a time sink but I've managed to maintain three WoW subscriptions, play them on a regular basis, raid with my guild, do arena with friends, and still have more than enough time for social activities and my real world obligations.
A WoW player that attends to real-world obligations? Hardly possible.
I reckon you to be a Blizzard Defense Bot, sent here by the company to protect its interests.
Nice try, machine.
Oh wow, you're just joking, right? Why is it hard to believe that everyone who plays an MMO doesn't obsess over it like a crack fiend?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's not the game's fault that people get addicted, it's the player's personality. If you have a player with low self esteem for example, they would most likely look to other players for validation. After finding the validation through raid healing, tanking, whatever, they'll start obsessing over it and become reclusive and avoid their real life obligations.
MMOs don't make people have pathetic lives, pathetic people give themselves pathetic lives.
