The MMO genre. It's ruining people's videogaming lives! They should play real games instead of playing a second job.
MMOs.
Can't ****ing stand them. Knowing how many people WoW has in its clutches scares the hell out of me.
jethrovegas
I would say the same thing, but I havn't played one(prob never will), but from what i've played, i'd say fighters. I have never understood the attraction to these things.
MMOs seem like crack, from what i've heard and crack sucks.
Ermmm, I'll say sports games, even though I like them but I probably like them the least.
[QUOTE="ChiSoxBombers"]JRPG's. people yap the crap outa them on these forums day in and day out. get rid of 'em for all i care. AMERICA, dammit.Tobin09

AMERICA F*CK YEA
... Why would the rest of the world say " America **** yea"
:|
Sports. I never play them, and yet for some people that seems to be their only concept of a video game-- playing a digital version of a game you can play with a real ball outside when the wether is nice. :|Timstuff
Sports games aren't that bad if you love the sport. I use to be a collegiate soccer player, but now I have a job that requires me to "work" all the time. Its a way for you to still feel envolved in the game without having to work out. he he. I love other genres alot more, but I see the value in a sports game.

Can be extremely fun also, you get your moneys worth. Charging $100 for some of these recent titles with 10 hours game play is not getting your moneys worth.[QUOTE="Tobin09"][QUOTE="ChiSoxBombers"]JRPG's. people yap the crap outa them on these forums day in and day out. get rid of 'em for all i care. yes, because that is what all patriotic americans are. since when is it a crime to have pride in one's country? only if you're in the US, right?

no, i just like playing games i can hop on and play online, or campaigns that don't take 100 hours. i like video games, but i don't like living in video games.

I'm against nationalism in general.
Sometimes people get blinded by nationalism just like you and that other fella.

so what about when your country needs you? so people in the military are brainwashed, because they want to fight for their country?
if you have no loyalty to your country and the way it works, you must not have a very good country. loyalty to ones country doesn't mean to the government, it means to the citizens, to your family, your friends, your way of life.
since when has standing for something greater than ones self become a sign of 'brainwashing?'

Sure, but their alot of fun aspects to the game. I play WOW and its the game that i know is their whenever i'm bored, free time.from any role playing game i've played, it takes far too much effort to become 'good' at it. i just can't stand working so hard in a game. just my opinion though.

why, because its offensive? or what?
i can guarantee that you have never served in the military, and that if your country had drafts, you would dodge, whether or not you thought the war itself was justified.
i've heard people call vietnam vets who were drafted 'cowards' because they didn't run off to canada. i would guess you are one of those. they did a very difficult thing, fighting for their country, even if they didn't agree with the war.
military members must swear loyalty to the commander in cheif, no matter if they agree with them or not. and it takes very strong men and women to serve actively in the military. its tedious, and very hard having to be away from those you love for so long. but you probably wouldn't understand. only those who have done it would understand.
there have to be those who are willing to fight for their country, to support it, or it won't be the country that they know and love for very long. not due to invasions, but due to the fact that no one cares enough about their way of life to stand and defend it.
the only time i would go up against my own country is when the become totalitarian and start dragging people away to death camps because of the way they live. and i won't let that happen, or at least they wouldn't stand by and watch. unless they don't care enough about their way of life to fight for it.

I can proudly say that if a draft was to come around again, you would find me running to Canada. I don't care if people would consider me a coward, I'm not dying for any country.

the US wouldn't even be its own country if people thought like you. europe would be run by crazy nazis if the uk, us, canada, any other countries that fought, thought like you. people have gone through hell, all because their country needed them to, and they didn't run. they deserve more respect than can be given.
i can't say i've seen combat, but i am in the marine reserves, so if there was a draft, i would already be wherever the fight was. hell, i might be in afghanistan come summertime. i don't want to go fight, but i thought it would be a good thing to be there in case my country called me.

And lucky for us, most people don't think like me. But that's hardly enough reason for me to give up my life just because thousands of other people are willing to do it every day.
If everyone was jumping off a cliff.....
