I always read here how people hate sports games, so i ask my friend who also hates them why. His answer was that he was never good at sports and only has bad childhood memories of sports. I guess thats a good reason. But i also read how its the same every year but honestly, after 20 years of sports video games how much more can tjey possibly change? The sports themselves remain the same for a hundred years
I don't hate them, but i really don't like them that much, only the very occasional FIFA or NBA something, in fact, i recently got NBA2K12 and man, it's fantastic, however, i don't see myself getting another NBA game in a long, long time.
Perhaps they don't like the Sports the game are based on?
I myself LOVE sports games, mostly FIFA and Football Manager. Given the choice id take Football Manager over any other supposed AAAA game, (Mario, Halo, etc)
i'm not good with sports, but i don't blame that. i blame the fact that they're just plain boring. the only sports games i like are the ones that go completely insane (especially if they're the nintendo ones, which actually does make the games more enjoyable) or racing games (which can be considered a sport, but even then i don't like simulators).
its an awfully broad term..sports games. i like racing games (more mario kart then gran turismo but i like both) and golf games. i have no time for soccer, american football, hockey or pretty much anything else though. why? i have no interest in the sports themselves to be honest.
