If you have a 360 than the PS3 is only good for rentals

I hate playing online and shooters are getting boring so the Xbox doesn't really interest me at the moment.

This is a valid point actually, I've rented and play just about every PS3 game worth playing, and I ask myself if this was worth 60 dollars, and normally the answer is no. with the valid exception of Demon's Souls. the only 3 games I legitamately own are GOw collection DS, and GOW 3 :lol:

I kinda see his point. Most of the PS3 exclusives I played were very good but lack replay value.

I could say the same thing too vice versa.:P

It's the preference obviously. Like how I prefer not to pay to play online. Some of my friends do and I take advantage of that by playing at their house.:P

I have both a ps3 and 360 and i dont even use my 360 anymore. It's not really worth owning. But i kept it if anything comes out i want to play. I actually buy all my games on ps3 now. MLB THe show. Heavy Rain. Demon's Souls. MGSIV. God of War. Uncharted 2. These games are outclassing the 360 imo by a long shot and are worth my money.

mmm couldnt disagree more... i think if one owns both consoles he/she will enjoy some amazing exclusive titles for both consoles...

Also if UC2 is a rental so is Geow2 considering it doesnt have a 30+ hour single player campaign and imo online for both UC2 & Geow2 are on the same level with UC2's sp campaign being more hhmm 'epic' :)

btw why did you forget to list online 'only# titles such as SOCOM & Warhawk which both offer(ed) good sized communities.. there is also MAG which imo is also a good online title..

Also TC you listed ME2 & Fable, those are just 2 games... so i assume you could also just rent all the other 360's exclusives then right? except a few others which offer online.. you see in the end 360 & PS3 aint that different, so what you think is good reasoning for 1 console can be easily applied to the other console..

I agree with you only because i feel that if have to pay for xbox live i have to play it more it makes no sense to play more PSN when its free i feel like i have to play xbox live more because am paying for it

Which is why am glad i no longer have xbox live and once i got rid of it my xbox 360 turned in to a dust collector and now its put away

Am not going to say PSN is better than xbox live but i will say that the fee for xbox live does nothing for what i think is most important internet connection i rather have the extra cash go to having fastest bandwidth available by my provider than paying for xbox live

Yeah, because good exclusives like UC2, KZ2, inFamous ect. are no good after you have beat them once. Why bother playing awesome games like that more than once, right? I guess the same goes for the 360, why buy any game for that matter? I mean after i beat ME2 or Gears ect. there worthless, why not just rent them all.djsifer01

I agree TC most of the praised PS3 exlusives have no replay value and are a rentals i.e. MGS4, GOW3, UC, UC2, HR. All rentals.

KZ2, Resistance and the sequal, just don't compare I'd rather play COD than those games.

Multiplayer is were it's at and 360 offers the best online multiplayer experience hands down.

i agree with the tc 100%. 90% of these ps3 exclusives cows are constantly hyping are short and can be finished in a weekend, thus rentals. GOW3 is a perfect example of this. the multiplayer games like mag, killzone 2, etc. are all dead online. even with all their much hyped ps3 games, most ps3 players who want a shooter choose MW2 over those games

the obvious comeback would be:

if you have a PS3 then the 360 is only good for a door stop.

However......

both systems have excellent games and I don't understand why some people don't just enjoy playing them and not worry about other systems.

It goes both ways TC. There aren't any 360 exclusives that have a campaign that can't be beat in about 8 or so hours either, with online quality of games being subjective. If anything PS3's online games also tend to be better done with online only games like MAG, SOCOM, Warhawk and great online games like KZ2, Uncharted 2 and Resistance 2. So, nice try TC.

KZ2's online was pretty lack luster, i stopped within the first couple weeks because of all the rocket rushers, terrible controls, it just wasn't very exciting online

The whole folly in these type of threads is that I can rationalize not buying any game EVER regardless of the console/system.

I can pirate PC games*

Rent 360, PS3, Wii, PSP, and DS games from multiple places or pirate them**

Why buy a 360 I said I can just play most if not all the games it has on other systems?

Why buy a PS3 I said the PC has a larger library bar none and best graphics

I can make any justification to not purchase a game or system.

Smart people would do it the other way around to save $50 per year not paying for Live. But I don't know of many gamers who just rent games anyway and I never rent games. If a game isn't worth buying once it hits the bargain bin, then it's not worth playing.abdelmessih101

i don't think so...while the PS3 has quite a few single player titles, it has more than enough multiplayer offerings.
