[QUOTE="Keiji993"]I wish these posters would stop sucking up MS and realize wtf they're doing. We heard nothing but bad news for the last 4 months or so and nothing but good news from Sony. hi pot.You think I wont drop Sony right off of my radar if they do the same thing!? Hell yeah I will. If both companies do this I will go buy a WiiU within the next week! The only reason I don't have one now is in hopes of a price drop come E3.Like I was saying I hope both consoles do not do it. It appears so far that both companies are going to change their used game policy to some degree and it is crazy we still do not have answers. The answers for both companies have been either the wrong answers gamers want to hear or just very vague. I just do not understand the Sony fanboys believing that nothing will change with used games considering Sony's answers. The publisher one for example either Sony is completely incompetent since they have no idea what is going on with their used games for their own product and are just leaving it all up to other companies or the other choice they are lying out their ass and just do not want to come clean. Sony doesn't have an always online policy... it was confirmed months ago and then again this week. they are not going to be able to do the same thing as ms.. as you can play games offline with ps4 no check in required. At most they will have online pass type stuff from select publishers, which is like it is now. It was also confirmed that sony is not going to be doing any digital market place for used games. Used game sales are like they are now. Stop trying to assume the worst because you want PS4 to be just as bad as xbone so you can justify it to yourself.[QUOTE="Sali217"][QUOTE="mems_1224"]And where did I say I was happy with either company doing it? See this is the problem Sony fans can not answer the question so they just try to insult or act like MS is the devil. Go ahead and try to pretend only MS is doing it though but Sony said before the MS event that they have no idea what will happen to the PS4 used games because they are leaving it all up to publishers.

That is all lems can do now is hope M$ drags Sony down with them. It is sad they would rather see other companies follow suit instead of switching consoles or complaining to M$ about their anti-consumer policies.

Haha your such a fanboy I bet even if Sony did crash and burn this generation you would still blame Microsoft.
Theres nothing anti consumer about DRM...its the way DRM is used that can be an issue. Microsoft are being relitively relaxed about who can and cant play games. If you playing with friends you can still do so...from your console or someone elses. The only thing you cant do is with much freedom is rent games....this is clearly an oppertunity for microsoft to develop their own Xbox Live rental initiative.

I have a friend who got his information stolen from XBL, the only difference is that Microsoft didn't shutdown the service to protect their customers when these things happened.I... kinda still consider it. No way in hell I'm purchasing one Day 1, year 1, or anytime soon really. Really turned off by the console and expecting plenty of "exclusives" to arrive on PC. But still, there's some interesting tech that I'd like to see more of like illuminati. So, I guess so?

About the same as SOny doing it. Keep dry humping your framed pic of Kaz and believing leaving their used game policy up to publishers means their used games practice has not changed. LMAO!!! Byt yeah, still buying the X1 day 1 :)What if they bought all of Sony's 1st Party Developers? lmao!! You'd buy it in a heart beat. There's still a chance I will buy both consoles. I can't say there isn't a chance if the price is right and the policies are changed. They could buy exclusive rights to any game and I wouldn't go near this console. I'd stop gaming before buying one.

The answer is never no for a true gamer. Depends on a lot of things. Price. Games. Policy changes. Fees. Used Games. etc... Bias fanboys will immediately say no (or yes) of course. I'd say maybe. Gotta wait and see what transpires. It's a maybe for both the PS4 and XBox One at this point.[QUOTE="The__Kraken"]
The only correct answer is "no."

I think no or yes at this point is fair. Are you gonna be a maybe forever because of policy change or price? If MS changes its policy then sure but as of today my mind is made up. I won't stand behind anti consumer policies ever. The thing could cost 10 bucks but I wouldn't support it especially with how many gaming alternatives exist these days.
i love everything about xbone and will buy it in a heart beat if it was not for there greedy drm bs system. i want to own the games i buy and not rent them til the end of next gen. if ms does not allow full time offline gaming for the games u BUY then the answer is NO there is no way in hell i will buy xbone and pay 60 dollars per game to rent it.
maybe i will consider this if all games are 9.99 or lower. but renting games and paying full price for this is crazy.

Me too. M$ & Sony has lots of apps for movie and TV on their systems. Neither the PS3 or XBox 360 is catering to games only. The PS3 was market as a Blu-Ray movie player when it initially launched. So it's not just Microsoft shoving these crazy apps down our throat. Both companies have done it in the past and will do it in the future. Sony has it's own picture company. You think they won't be pushing their films on the PS4? lol!!I liked it better when consoles were just meant for gaming without having to go through all of the hassel Microsoft has shoved down our throats with.

I will get an X1 after a few price drops and a hardware revision, when they have more than a handful of exclusives.... so most likely not for a few years. If there is any chance a game will come out on another platform, I'll buy it for THE OTHER platform.
I won't deny myself some good gaming to make a point. But I'll do things in a way to afford MS as little of my money as possible. I'm done paying for XBOX Live as well. Might get myself a PS Plus membership though.
We'll see what E3 brings about... hopefully Sony won't disappoint.

Maybe is a good answer when you don't have ALL THE ANSWERS yet. That's the smartest answer of all. Once all the answers (price, online fees, policies, launch titles, etc..) are ALL out in the open, then I can make a definitely answer. Everyone is different. I just choose a more reliable and smarter approach, that's all.[QUOTE="blackace"][QUOTE="Clock-w0rk"]MrGeezerThe answer is never no for a true gamer. Depends on a lot of things. Price. Games. Its MS hiding all this shit not me. They can't hinge my maybe when they are the pure reason it is. You're trying so hard to seem reasonable because you've already decided you want an X1. Me, every system is worth owning at some point but I won't own one with anti consumer policies. So sorry my standards outstrip wanting to play video games

I haven't decided anything yet. I'm leaning more to the PS4, but still waiting for Sony to answer all the hard questions. My stand is still maybe for both systems. I could easily just pass on both and continue to play my PS3 and XBox 360 for another 2 years. I have lots of unplayed games.Get rid of required kinect.
Get rid of the blocking of used games
Get rid of the always online.

The only way ill buy a microsoft console again.
ok i can't c the big deal i guess since i never bought a use game i never traded in my games and my xbox is always connect so nothing changes for me so no biggie

What was said today concerns me because I don't see how MS can or will do this without knowing full well that Sony will be doing it to. Â If Sony's stance or practice isn't the same and in fact better MS is basically digging their own grave. Â
MS came out and put it all out there yet Sony still hasn't given us a concrete answer. Â That is what concerns me.

Sony already confirmed they won't be doing it. Any 3rd parties who do it on PS4 will only make themselves look bad because of it not being required. M$ are requiring it.
Sony hasnt confirmed shit. All sony has done is shown how the console looks like a blurry square FFS.Please Log In to post.
