Yeah, they should spend a lot of time and bringing something new to the game. i felt there isnt much improvement from geow1 and 2 graphically and gameplay.

Sorry to get your hopes up, but the odds of that happening are slim to none. Remember it's a heavy paced third person shooter, there isn't much more you can add for gameplay. And as for graphics, well I lol'd when I heard you say you wanted improvements on it.

I dont know about anyone else but beside the lackluster multi-player Gears of War2 did everything else considerably well.....Awesome Game, Awesome

I agree. Horde and the singleplayer were awesome. I dont agree with people saying it wasn't good imo it was better than the first in every way. But the multiplayer is what keeps everyone coming back and they just really screwed it up.

The online is what made me not buy it, because Gears was always an awesome game when some bug wasn't being exploited, which was almost never.

And oh did they screw up! They had everything going for it, but they somehow messed up badly.

I enjoyed Gears 2. Personally, I thought the campaign was fantastic, much better than the first. I enjoyed every bit of it, even the reaver section that so many hate I found to be exhilerating. The lack of an end boss was the only dissapointing element in the campaign for me. Horde was a fantastic addition as well that has given birth to loads of knockoffs. Gears 2's problems stemmed from its laggy and glitchyonline whichplagued the original as well (though the original is still my favorite online game of all time to this day). Fix that and you fix the series.

Microsoft1234

im not sure about that, even when i didn't feel lag, the game feels way different from 1.

I actually felt the campaign of the first game was better than the second in almost every way. The first game had more bosses (2nd game's last boss is a joke), had a better vehicle section, and in general just felt more varied and fun.

hm...Actually i think gears 2 needs to stop trying to be gears 1...which is one reason i stopped playing its multiplayer they changed it to the point its unplayable, HELL i can't even get past most horde cause they took out the flash smoke grenades abbility to knock people done, whats the point of smoke when the enemy can shoot you and kill you through smoke any ways? smoke does not hamper AI players on the highest difficulty that know where your at at all times...it might work againest human players but not AI epic ruined gears 2 when they started updating it to play like gears 1 i didn't like gears one it was the same tactics every map shotgun wall hopping every single time.

As for that gears doesn't need saving much like halo 1 its single player experience is great with a nice back story that i enjoy, as long as they continue the franchise to its story conclusion then im happy.

its very easy, toss out everything u did with gears 2, and bring back the gears 1 playstyle, except maybe lower some weapons and matchmaking is bad in gears. Microsoft1234
You mean make the cover system irrelevant to the gameplay? Gears 1 was reduced to a run n' gun shotty fest.

Some problems yes but I really dug the SP campaign and had a blast while it lasted - great game though not Halo 3 great :P and look forward to Gears 3.

Hmmm, Gears 2 was in such a need of saving that IGN gave it a 9.5... and it's metacritic score, the general consensus of reviewers, is a 93? Consumers thought it need so much saving that they bought over 5 million copies of it? Even odder, they gave Gears 1 a 9.4, which means that the game is on an upward path, not getting worse and worse every time.

Call me crazy, but that doesn't sound like something that's in desperate need of saving or struggling by any stretch of the imagination. And if so... if 5 million+ in sales and AAA status means you're in trouble... pretty much all but 2-4 games each year are in desperate need of saving.

If you were around at the time you'd know Gears got a free pass on the MP side of the reviews, reviewers didn't even wait for the MP to become available to the mass public, they just assumed it was awesome.

Not to mention I'm one of those people that bought the game straight away, for 70 euros, which is somehting I never do, I always import cause it's way cheaper, but I was so sure it was a good buy...
