Agreed.. I downloaded the PS3 and 360 demo.. No big difference at all between the 2 whatsoever.. Hell there wasnt even anyone chatting on the 360 demo either.. The game was just overall boring on both consoles.. BTW MGS4 is AMAZING
Seriously, even the core mechanic of the game, shooting, felt off. All the weapons sounded like peashooters, they all felt EXACTLY alike, it's near IMPOSSIBLE to pull off single shots, and even when you DO manage to perform the aforementioned act, it's useless because enemeies require 10+ rounds to bring down. How is it that it's getting such positive reviews?

I'm wondering this as well. Because the demo was awful.
But maybe the demo really is just a terrible representation of the full game. It does happen sometimes. 8.5 is definitely much higher than I would've expected.
the demo was class... In terms of graphics, presentation it wasn't so good. But gameplay was good once you got into it, and well ahead of COD4 imo. It's a proper sandbox online shooter. Not encased levels. Tactically you can do whatever you want. You can pick a sniper class and go and hide behind a tree 5 km away from a enemy base and snipe peoples heads off.. Or grab a tank and destroy buildings... Deffinitely better than COD4 online

I wasn't impressed either. there are and will be better shooters this gen. Especially military shooters. Definite rental for me.
I Guess this is a love it or hate it game because I thought the online component of the Demo was extremely fun. SP was meh but I buy games mostly for MP anyhow.
The single player from the demo was a snooze fest, but multiplayer was pretty good. The only thing that I found lacking was the gun play. Everything else played well. I especially liked calling in air strikes and all the other power ups for different classes.
The game seems well-made to me, but doesn't really stand out much. It's also nothing at all like the real Battlefield games, which makes me like it even less.

Lol yeah, the demo was garbarge on the other hand MGS4 is a masterpiece.
It's funny how they always cut and past 360 reviews for PS3.
The demo on the PS3 was horrendous... I'm betting the retail game on the PS3 will be the same crap quality as the demo.

It is because they are the same exact game. There is nothing wrong with the PS3 version, it plays just fine. Hence both versions recieved 8.6s. Same game and nothing special.
I said it from Day 1, BF:BC is complete s***. Everyone was so caught up in finding the COD4 killer that they overhyped this POS because it had "destructible" environments.
Only reason it got that high was because of the Battlefield in front of it. IGN knows the game is a POS, they just don't want EA to feel bad about disgracing the Battlefield franchise.

This is why I believe the hermits on here when they talk about how console games have lower standards. I wish reviewers would look past the Battlefield name and stop giving it the benefit of the doubt.
