[QUOTE="Verge_6"][QUOTE="ice144"][QUOTE="Verge_6"][QUOTE="excelR83"] [QUOTE="Verge_6"]That's the second review that praised it...just how different is the crappy demo from the retail version?

That's what I just can't wrap my head around!
I thought the demo was an embarrassment to the BF name. 8.6 from IGN is a score that makes me wonder wtf I missed.
Looks like this is something we can agree on.
Seriously, a shooter that has clunky and awkward shooting shouldn't get anything over a 7.0, yet here are two prominent review sources saying it's a great game. Unless the retail version recieved on HELL of a make-over, there is no reason it should have recieved such scores.
Clunky and awkward shooting? What game are you playing?
From your impressions of a DEMO you think it shouldnt get over 7.0 and are actually pissed that it got higher than it, like...wtf? Did the game do something to you? I found the game very enjoyable, but I'll be sticking with bf 2 probably.
Also, why is it most of the people who've dissed the game havent played the multiplayer...
I was playing a game that had clunky and awkward shooting.
Read bolded part. I am not pissed, simply amazed.
Because MP comes after singleplayer for me.
We agree on this too. I finally did give the MP a shot because of the urgings of posters here, and it was much cooler than I expected (lots of vehicles, at times the graphics and gameplay somewhat resemble BF2), but the good things are ruined by what seems like awful hit detection, totally unbalanced ****s, teamkilling, no ability to go prone, and, if I remember correctly, I couldn't customize my controls. Not being able to customize my controls is pretty much a deal-breaker for me in shooters.
You've played the demo, not the final game. That said, how do you know that BF: BC will not have control mapping? I don't know if you noticed it or not but the BF: BC demo is pretty old. Seeing the IGN review I can say with honestly that the game undertook a massive improvement following the demo's release. Also, we live in the age of patches for console games. If you have such an issue promptly get in touch with a game developer and ask for the implimentation of such customization. If the idea was ever considered and the code was just removed from the final build, then you just might get your wish. Until then, go play PC if you want customization and leave it to the adaptive gamers to master any control system.
