However, some of the things you mentioned are still subjective. Graphics, for instance. Name an objectively good looking game for me. Odds are we'd find someone who disagrees, unless you say Crysis or something along those lines.Assassin_87
Well, I said 'good graphics', and that's not the same as good-looking, at least not in my book. Games like Metro 2033. The Witcher 2 and indeed Crysis have very good graphics. Whether you like the artistic design or not is a different story. A reviewer can, for example, say the art design of Call of Duty better than that of Crysis (although he'd have to give some arguments why), but to say it is more impressive on a technical level would just be dumb,
When I'm bored, I just stop playing. Even MW3 is decent in short bursts with friends, its definatly not my game of choice though, but hell I'm more of a Black Ops guy myself. Personaly I believe CoD is always going to remain mostly the sae, the ony CoD dev that trys to change anything is Treyarch, I mean seriously IW and friends what the hell? Dolphin diving out of windows was awesome
This is true. Anyone who denies this has not played but 2 cod games or they enjoy mediocrity .
lowkey254
Everyone knows it needs to change. Even the fans like me. But this article is terribly written and the points could be thought by 12 years olds. I mean seriously adding vehciles doesn't make a better game.

WAW is a testament to that, I didnt enjoy the tanks added to it. A failed experiment.[QUOTE="OB-47"]

But COD already has vehicles... Chopper Gunner etc.[QUOTE="OB-47"][QUOTE="Bardock47"] WAW is a testament to that, I didnt enjoy the tanks added to it. A failed experiment.

But COD already has vehicles... Chopper Gunner etc.Yes but it's not like you see a vehicle and get in it like BF or Halo. You earn it as a reward and usually don't get full control of it. That's fine. Having controllabe vehicles would be stupid when the games focus is tight and small firefights.

Yeah but what about the COD's BEFORE COD4? :!:But COD already has vehicles... Chopper Gunner etc.[QUOTE="nini200"][QUOTE="OB-47"]

Pretty much. Vehicles are just not what Call of Duty is all about. I agree with what someone else said about the content of this article looking like the work of a 12 year old. It's like the equivalent of saying Forza Motorsports needs change, lets add guns to the vehicles.
 EA got owned really hard.what's the difference between bf3 and mw3? 1 game failed to go beyond and above the call of duty.

I just pulled this from Game Informer #225.
"According to Activision, the game sold 6.5 million copies in its first 24 hours in both the US and UK, making $400 million. This figure doesn't include the two trucks-worth of games hijacked by French thieves worth an estimated $1 million. Nevertheless, the blockbuster-level sales set the record for the biggest entertainment launch ever. This topped Call of Duty: Black Ops' first day take of $360 million, which in turn was bigger than Modern Warfare 2's $310 million. Activision says that after five days, the game had grossed $775 million.
'Life-to-date sales for the Call of Duty franchise exceed worldwide theatrical box office for Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings, two of the most successful entertainment franchises of all time,' boasted Activision CEO Bobby Kotick."
Lol, yeah, I don't think they're going to be changing the CoD formula anytime soon.

holy mofo thats impressive.
I really hope they change soon. I only see change next gen though.
My idea for a renewal of COD is to still focus on infantry, but now have tightly designed maps that actually change the way you play on each of them, kinda similiar to what I felt in KZ2 online and the Battlefield games. Currently each map just doesn't make you play that differently other than camping points etc.
Have maps with actual goals in them, and possibly map specific killstreaks.Actually tactically useful killstreaks like a remote bot that heals the team in a small radius.
One objective leads to the other or so (like Quake Wars and BC2), and lot's of side objectives to make the game a bit more dynamic.
To make sure people aren't just playing Team Deathmatch, possibly give some unique weapons to each mode that can only be unlocked if you play that mode. You can bring them to others of course.
Presitge exclusive weapons to make it feel a bit more useful.
I just thought of these on the top of my head. Game design is a lot harder than simple ideas but I think some of these may work.
Comparing a $60 video game series with like 10 installments to the $10 a ticket a pair of franchises with 6 and 3 films, respectively. Yep, that's real impressive, Bobby. Until you actually think about it for more than half a second.I just pulled this from Game Informer #225.

IGN will write this, and then they'll give MW9 10/10.
Just like 'BETHESDA ARE TERRIBLE DEVELOPERS, NEVER BUY THEIR GAMES AGAIN!1!1!!' ....GOTY, Skyrim.
