Wow is it any wonder the consoles are filled with run of mill fps after fps? I do very little multiplayer and while battlefield is my fav mp shooter, I will pick a rpg or adventure, action game story driven game over lame pawn nubs multiplayer any day. Even the people who "champion RPGs and beat em ups on tjese bords typically play more stupid mp games, at least that's wha I see on my friends list. Don't you people ever get tired of modern rehash ver 231? Seriously what happened to the gamers of last gen and before? Or the great ff13, yakuza3, rennosaunce of fate, just cause2's of the world? March was jam packed with awesome single player story focused games, yet you people would rather play another damn shooter? Is it any wonder why milktivision is making 30000 cod game clones? No it's not, I have a bad feeling if this keeps up my fav genres rpg/ story based sp action adventure games will die out... We have too many fps games!!! I hope you bashers support these games at least. Man I love the games out now, but it seems like their are not that many people that share the same taste all anyone wants is cod clone# 452. Okay, it's pretty obvious that you haven't played Bad Company 2, so you just keep your elitist thoughts to yourself until you have.

GOW bum rushes Mass Effect 2. Not even close. GOW3 is linear and the same gameplay as GOW2, ME2 was new, changed from ME1 and non linear... It's not as nonlinear as an open-world game, but it's less linear that most games. Sidequests, exploration, hubworlds, and choosing what quest to take when and how contributed to that.
regardless of all the reviews I am going to buy Bad Company 2 and rent GOW3. I applaud Santa Monica for their efforts in the GOW franchise and I got the collection but the collection was 20 hours of content for $39.99 (now $29.99) which was GOW1 and 2, this is only 8-10 hours of content for $59.99, thats double the price of the collection now and after that 10 hours I am sure that I will not be playing it anymore. I got Heavy Rain because it is a great game and its unique, its a memorable experience but this will be epic but not nearly as memorable as Heavy Rain. If GOW3 was $39.99 then I would get it but not full price for only a story mode.
