IGN Gran Turismo 5 Real Pics No BullShots

IGN has real pics of GT5 up on its website. forget thise Bullshots that have been distributed.

the cars look Phenominal as Polyphony's work always does, but the trees and Environments, well ill leave that up to you to decide.

after all the hype about this game blowing Forza 3 away in the graphics department these pics tell a decidely different story.

what do YOU GUYS think?

P.S And NO i didnt scour the Internet looking for the WORST GT5 images i could find. these are the latest images from actual gameplay.

I agree the cars look great but the environment lacks detail especially the tree's, i'm sure they will throw in alot of motion blur to try to hide it.

you have a point, its not a helicopter sim, but werent we promised graphics that rivaled, or were better than reality?

C'mon. It's not a helicopter game, it's a racing game. The game looks amazing, lol @ trees though. Like I said though, you won't see them from those angles when playing.SaltyMeatballs

obviously they weren't going to revolutionize their dev process after GT5p

that said in motion some of those tracks look pretty good

de_dusts mountains are just 2d back drops, and are not even based around the same geographical area.

So this confirms Dirt 2 is the best looking racing game on all platforms.

i have heard that out of 1000 cars in Gran Turismo, 800 of them are taken from previous Gran Turismo and have been upscaled ( they will not have damage effects), and non of the cars will have a cockpit view. Is it true? Or was my friend ( 360 fanboy) was trying to pwn me?SheikhMuhammad

Cars behavior is nothing near the reality , the Polyphony guyz spend hours of discussion and tests with real cars only for fun

Hang on, how do you know the damage model is rubbish? So far they have shown very little to do with damage. I mean there is no in game footage of the damage model (from my knowledge) from e3 since damage was turned off for those demos

Its simple, car manufactorers aren't going to allow the cars to get wrecked in the way cars in GRID and Dirt 2 do.

The fact that they are not showing it and have it turned off speaks volumes as well. Its so bad they dare not even show it.

yes, so they have had three times the time as done for Dirt 2 yet creates 10 times the cars, I think thats fair.

Is that a joke right? Time and resources? They had alot of time, too much it would seem, and resources, 60 million? Come on there is no excuse for it. Codemasters have given us 4 games in the time, all of them excellent,

You are right i am a GT hater, i just don't get it, it looks like crap and plays like crap, its more like a car collection game with its 1000s of cars than a racing game, and if i want to collect cars iall buy matchbox models! The lighting on them is much more realistic and there alot more fun to play with :)
