IGN is prtty much a site that is fanboycentric in how it has become.
The basic concpts of IGN I have nothing agains, but the overall lack of direction or same standards across the platforms, makes it seem like a place run by fanboys, not to mention thier godaweful reviews (granted, it is more a case of the reviewers themselves and not the site, but they shuould have a review standard, the UC3 review has to have gone down as the worst ever review written by someone who was supposedly a professional).
I find it really amuzing how both X-com and Syndicate got completely Butchered, and all IGn could say was "everything changes" it is not bad to reinvent series.
And then they write this for MG Revengence? Yeah double standard much?
When that is all said and done, not many of us knows alot about revengence, and they atleast had the curtisy of making it a spinoff, and not a replacement for the main series. I will wait and see how the game turns out before I cry bloody murder. If it ends up as a mindless hack&slash then I WILL cry it tho.
Seems nearly all the deep and great classical series are being remade as mindbumbing shallow would be games, for the ADHD crowd. pretty much like Hollywood and thier remake mania. In nearly all cases the originals were better in every way.
But for now? its just the weekl IGn flamebait to attract visits, nothing else.
