The one valid point in there is that this game will innately demote the struggles on Snake. I don't ever remember Snake running on walls on slashing people in tiny pieces. Gosh, Raiden is just so much more badass than Snake NAPK1NS

That's irrelevant. As an MGS fan playing as Raiden wil not make me think any lesser of playing as Snake and his struggle. If people were that naive then chances are they already considered Raiden more bad-ass from the cutscenes in MGS4.

I understand but that's why it's not MGS but MGR. One a stealth series the other an action game. Why can't they co-exist? Do gamer play action games and suddenly feel they can't play slower paced games anymore? It's not like the case with DmC where gamers are essentially getting a game in the same genre but slower and sluggish then what they are used to. Kojima didn't deny MGS5 because of the fans but surely the fans should be content with MGS4 and let the Metal Gear series try different genre's now.

Seeing as the metal gear solid games were boring, i really don't think it matters. On top of that, a spinoff game can't ruin a main series game.

This is the exact OPPOSITE of what I want in a Metal Gear game. I want stealth, not Metal Gear: Halo Warfare. It's bad enough we're getting Metal Gaiden May Cry, but if this game influences any future core Metal Gear Solid game, my faith in the video game industry will officially be ruined.

The title itself shows that this is just yet another lousy attempt to get attention, reminds of the "Dark Souls kicks Skyrim's ass in every way imaginable" article they did a while back.

jst finished watching the interview between kojima and platinum games and honestly not excited about the games as was with the previuos MG.... but still gonna buy the game as a side track until next MGS hopefully by kojim....

I'm not sure about this game ruining the franchise but I certainly agree with the part about all of Snakes efforts and achievements over the course of all the games have been made to look like childs play compared to Raiden that can now flip a Metal Gear Ray over his head and slice through it like butter. A god mode character like that doesn't really fit in the universe of MGS.

Of course it will! I mean, it's not like Revengence is a spin off or a completely different take on the Metal Gear series than it's MGS counterpart so of course it will affect the tride and true series that fans have loved over the years that it does not even coincide with. -___-

nope for some simple easy to understand reasons. Its a spin off so its meant to feel different. Its not meant to represent the core mechanics from the main series.In other words its meant to be its own thing just able to be in the same universe with the worlds characters. Its being handeld by devs who are known to give good games at least to some. I mean for all I didint like bayonetta I still liked the gameplay.

agree execpt the MGS4 comment loved the game second best mgs imo. I dont get why people dont get what the hell a spin off is. Without spin offs things like mario tennis,kart and paper mario would never ever exist.
