Yes it does. Why? The single player was good, not great. Horde is fun, but I can't see myself ever going back to it. Multiplayer is broken. Your opinion vs my opinion. + I don't care enough to argue about GOTY's. MGS4 won here I think? That's all that matters.

yah i cnat make up mind right now. i loved all of those games. GTa4 one of the best games i played this year, L4d, one of the besT MP i had for a while (also counting R2i love R2 MP) LBP , so much fun in that game, and MGS4 so Freaking EPIC, and also F3 one of the games that kept me up all night lol.

Oh I didn't deny that gears 2 was a good game, I said it wasn't as great as it could of been. It could of been a lot better, and it could of been a lot worse. Its an enjoyable game.

What ever makes you sleep better at night. I own all the consoles but what you said is saying sales > gameplay and rating. Call of Duty 5 sold more units on the 360 than gears 2 I think calling call of duty 5 being better than gears 2 is stupid.

Also, the TC missed Left 4 Dead... it was a 360 exclusive on there. I think the guy who did the MGS4 video sucked. I mean, the Shadow Moses arrival was memorable, but Microwaves, anybody? ALso, why did they play Old Snake in the background? It's a good song, but Metal Gear Saga was so much more epic...

And I'm guessing most of the hardcores that actually visit these sites have played this games, thus they have their own opinions, so these outdated picks hold no weight.

Competitive is awesome as well. I was quite disappointed with single player. Little variety... but it had its moments. The alley in Chicago was awesome, especially using the splicer... seeing all of the dismembered limbs on the ground as you walk through their corpses after you're done just lets your endorphins go. The Leviathan was also a stunning boss battle, though I don't exactly consider it one. I consider it more of an interactive cinematic. But what stands out for me most in R2 was the San Francisco Bay, walking out of SRPA-3... breath-taking.

I actually have yet to play a co-op game in resistance 2! Lol I am trying to play a lot of competitive mode using killzone 2 default controls to get used to it. I feel like I am overplaying Resistance 2 though.

Anyways back to topic, I don't think Gears 2 and Resistance 2 deserved to be on a nominee list. I think MGS4 is going to win because it won best ps3 game over GTA 4, so that pretty much removes GTA out of the list.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. Being correct helps me sleep very well thanks :) I am sure it does Anyways I think Game of the year will be either Fallout 3 or Metal Gear Solid 4. I think MGS4 has better odds, but Fallout 3 is multiplat so I think they may go for a safer choice.

still, it's a very nice award to get at least for me, I like a lot more IGN and GT than GS tbh but I know that only GS matters here
It has one of the best campaigns of the year but such a ridiculously flawed online. Thats too much to have wrong really, as the online was the main compnenent, so no it doesn't deserve to be on there anyway, though I personally think it deserves it more than LBP.

i agree with everything you just said. good post lan Oh I know, I was looking forward to the new UT, but it turned out pretty bad. I know epic games are capable of making great games, so I can't wait for Gears 3, because I hope they learn from their mistakes and an even better game.
Kinda funny, 90% of the 360 awards were for multiplat games while 80% of ps3 awards went to exclusive games gg sonyWe_never_die
lol i know right. but yah l4d is a multi plat between 360/and pc. so its more like 100% of the games on the list are multiplats, which is very sad indeed. :(
