I'm still astonished with the amount of attention Virtua Fighter 5 gets in this board. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the fact that it being superior than on the rival system is given more importance than the game itself. I will actually be surprised if half the people that praise the game actually buys it.

I hope it sells well, it is an excellent fighting game.

I'm not sure if the shots are taken at the same res or not. While the 360 has more AA, the PS3 has sharper textures. The 360 looks a lot more blurry.Ramadear

Ive seen the demo and this games characters doo look muchmore realistic than doa4 but environments/gameplay of this game is crap.. and the sound looks like an old bruce lee movie if you know what I mean.. DOA4 is deff better in terms of gameplay... but ownage against the cows is writtin all over it though. lol their only decent fighting game...

its technical to a fault. Its not a bad game by any means, but I prefer Tekken. And since the PS3 already has VF5, and Tekken is exclusive and SC is multi-plat, it looks like PS3 will continue to be the best choice for fighting games.

Tekken has always been and will always be the superior fighting games. Not only is it more fun to play it has also has sold alot more copies then the VF series. Also Tekken is not that easy to play, Ya if you have played fighting games before it's not that hard to get into but that sure as hell doesnt stop it from being fun. Also jinpachi mishima is not a very easy boss to defeat until you fight him enough to understand his weaknesses and even then he can bring a challenge.

why don't you point out the clarity turbo? They both have their strenghts and faults, but I honestly prefer the ps3 version from that screenshot because those few jaggies aren't enough to deter from the experience.

I did notice the difference in color of the stained glass patterns in the background..

It's alot more comfortable in your hands then the PS3 controller. Tho it would depend on what you prefer, ya know? 360 controller isn't that bad for beat 'em ups. DOA4, anyone? =)

This is just typical SEGA laziness. And I'm not saying that to sound like a cow. I've been saying it for a long long time now.

When SEGA released VF4 for the PS2 it had tons of shimmer and jaggies. Maybe because they slapped the game together in only 6 months? Then they released VF4:super turbe (or whatever) 6 months later and it not only had no jaggies or shimmer but it had two extra characters. I felt ripped off for buying the original version.

Now here we have VF5. The PS3 version was made on short order while the 360 had an extra 8 months or so of dev time. Not surprisingly, once again, the original version has jaggies and the "later" version doesn't.

Way to go SEGA! I guess we should just be happy that, unlike other Sega games lately, this one has more than 3 hours of playability and isn't on rails.
