But I do agree with their pick, and jesus people, it's called an opinion.
ME2 is one of the most hated games here. This topic is locked from further discussion.

ME2 is one of the most hated games here. The story, dialogue, and voice acting alone are enough to keep it out of the top 20.So what IGN was basically saying in that video was - "we would have picked Vanquish, but since not many people got a chance to play this incredible epic masterpiece, we have chose the more popular but embarrassingly inferior 3rd person shooter ME2"

Vanquish was nowhere even in the top 100. Viva Pinata, Shadow Complex, Tetris, Pacman, Borderlands, Wii Sports Resort, Angry Birds, Brain Age, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Mirror's Edge, SSHD, and DJ Hero all were though.

ME2 is one of the most hated games here.Well, in SW. Anything that recieves high score is automatically overrated and not as good other lower rated games.[QUOTE="Avian005"]My favorite mod has spoken. OBEY THE WILL OF THE MOD. :P[QUOTE="AdobeArtist"]

Vanquish's dialogue was absolutely brilliant in it's tongue in cheek cheesiness. It turned cheesy storytelling and dialogue into an art form, and pushed it into the boundaries of legendary storytelling. Besides, the gameplay and pacing more than made up for any non-existent shortcomings that people will try to make up about it.

Bolded:
How can you say it had great pacing either? The game started fast and didn't stop, other than the slow sniping sequence on the tram, up until the end. The game was easily over in 5 hours and it never really let up. That doesn't scream "great pacing" to me. It basically has the pacing of a COD game.
It was a good 20 dollar buy, however I'm just astonished at much praise this game gets considering it's basically a mix of Gears of war and Lost Planet. All they needed to add in was the boosting mechanic.

Bayonetta's better. Also....Vanquish doesn't have singing or over the top j-pop.:P[QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"]

It was longer than 5 hours, and the pacing was some of the best ever conceived. Vanquish is all about high speed non-stop kinetic action, and it achieved that magnificently. Vanquish is the epitome of all that is the action game genre. It's action gaming perfected... nothing comes close.

Bolded: That's exactly why it has BAD pacing. If it's non-stop action for the entire game that means that it went one PACE the entire game.
They're wrong because I disagree.

I don't really mind that choice. Though I'm still shocked to see Demon's Souls at #100 and Metal Gear Solid 4 not even make the list, even though they gave it a 10.

The stealth sniping monorail section slowed things down nicely. The best part about that section was that a fellow soldier gave you a compliment everytime you shot something. I fondly remember hearing that "nice shot, sir" and would gleefully respond back "it's my job, grunt"

I like throwing my Cigs for them to shoot at then slow motion and a melee :P.And you just explained why Vanquish is one of the greatest games ever made :o
Well, one reason of many I should say.
they only count 1 in the series.Where the hell was the original Valkyria Chronicles? Did I just miss it? I saw the 2nd one, but where the bloody F is the original!!!!????

Nonstop-Madness
Well, it should have been the original. VC2 was great, but VC was just magnificent and one of the best games on the PS3.
I disagree with IGN listing VC2 over the first one. VC2 had a terrible story and cast, imo, and it had a lot of pacing problems, mainly because of the filler missions. It also doesn't help that these filler missions took place in recycled maps. VC1 had a decent story, imo, but at least it had some great characters and epic battles.
Where's Bayonetta?
Shadow Complex was a pretty beast game. That is the single worst list I've ever seen in my entire life.
Angry Birds, Mirror's Edge, Far Cry 2, Borderlands, Shadow Complex, Wii Sports Resort, Tetris are better than Demon's Souls, MGS, Halo 3, Just Cause 2?:lol::lol:
StealthMonkey4
because their opinion doesn't match with yours? Personally, I think all Bioware games are **** covered in a gold wrapper, but if IGN its no.1, whatever, I don't care.IGN should be banned from making lists.
