Virtua Tennis 3 was 1080p on both consoles.

On 360, it was also online with no framerate hits, and no lag (according to gamespot).

You were saying?

lol, tennis? you're not making sense...Anyways the point is with more space you can do more. Why is that hard to grasp?

ideally, you can do more over a longer period of time: different enviorments, different enemies, different conversations, ect. But the amount of things available to you at any one momentis dependant on the CPU, RAM, and GPU.

I totally understand that. I'm just saying in this instance Blu-ray is great to have. Answer this question, why is DVD and Blu-ray games cost $60 dollars? Why is blu-ray discslooked down upon if it's cost the same? Why are people not satisfied with more space?

Blu Ray is an advantage, but not that much of one. Also I like your avatar and you do seem cool.

personally, I think it has great potential to make games we haven't ever seen before. The problem many have with it is thatthe bluray driveadded $125 dollars to the PS3's price. Without seeing drastic improvements from bluray, many feel that that extra money spent on it was not worth it. unfortunate.

No one looks down on blu ray gaming. Well, maybe some because of the HARDWARE cost associated with it (not the software, as you just tried to pass off). I know that your point iswith more space you can do more. My point is with development costs where they are, few developers are gonna need extra space. If you haven't noticed, games have been getting shorter, not longer.

What we are not hearing (or seeing) is that the space is gonna be utilised in anything but a few cases.

I'm sorry, but I'm still wondering why I can't change from day to night and night to day for the tracks in PGR 4, like they did with PGR 3...

Oh, wait...

Disk size has nothing to do with the resolution at which you are running the game, when u change the ress your game doesnt change its size :P

Space matters for the texture size in a game, and devs dont use some sick texture sizes couse those would take longer to load and require more processing power, and neither the x360 or Ps3 have the power to use some extremely high res textures!

Cows have been told this god knows how many times. I have given up trying to change their misguided beliefs regarding display resolution. Ever since they found out Halo was 640p they got it into their minds it was somehow DVDs fault

Will people stop crying about this? Why are people crying about advances in technology? Saying we don't need BluRay is like saying No I don't need a lighter to start my fire I'll just use sticks to they ignite. It's really stupid.
