Lets NOT forget.. the PS2 put there games on the map..and made them big. The PS2 was a huge success, why not continue it? We all know once the PS3 drops its price and its bigger titles come out...its sell like hot cakes. -Maddog-

Well I read an interview a while ago (with capcom) about why developers dont move to the Wii and stick to the Playstation 3 and its lower install base. the simple reason is Sony rely on third parties, where as Nintendo have never had to- So the setup with the ps3 is a lot more third party friendly, both inSony/Thirdparty communication and mrket share.

f the Wii it's last gen, and 360 just doesnt sell in japan, so sony is the perfect choice gerard-williams

Perfect choice??? it's far from that, but with cutting edge gamers it's about the only choice in Japan.

i think sony's new thing this generation is not to so heavily rely on third party developers as we have seen on ps2 even they paid for the titles to be exclusive to ps2 they still managed to somehow port the games to other platforms. gta and re4.... sony is really making is buying new developers left and right to try and get as many exclusive titles as they can and they are really trying to push the simple titles they are releasing on psn which some only require 5 people to make.

But there have been plenty of third party games so far with no change. The problem is not Just with thord parties, but sonys startegy. This is a MONEY PIT!

Wait wait.. ok, so... people complain about Sony not having any games... So developers decide to try to remedy that... and people complain that PS3 is getting games?
