No body can seriously believe Halo 3 looks like Halo 2 because it clearly dosen't.

but there's the thing. how do you make this game look any better? it's a fantasy game and is not suppose to look realistic. what's there looks really nice. it's not like a game like pgr3 where you can improve in the photorealism for the next game.

UM, I have to say, Halo 3 looks like Halo 2, and did you see the armor in halo 3? It looks, brand new, no wear and tear like the one in HAlo 2. Halo 3 is like Halo 2 on pc, with the increases resolutions

but I wouldn't really compare them now, wait until it comes out then make a judgement. I hate it when fanboys do this

Yeah, this screens really don't look that great. The vids definitely look better than Halo 2 though, just not much better. Even the reviewers noted that when you play the game you don't see a huge jump from Halo 2 but it does run a lot smoother/faster. It's really nothing spectacular graphically.... But as I said in another post, if you liked Halo last gen, you really can't complain about a next gen version no matter how similar it seems to last gen.

I think it's time for lemmings to face the fact Halo will look no where near in the realm of crysisMetroid_Time

Hell I don't even know if it'll get in the GeoW realm, let alone Crysis

It's still no graphical masterpiece, but it looks infinitely better than the earliest screenshots did. It looks good enough now to par the course, and the gameplay should make up for whatever graphical prowess it lacks.

Its been an interesting day. 

I may sound as a noob, but the images aren´t particularly different. There isn´t a big gap between Halo 2 and 3 in matters of looks.
