google nromaly helps, i got my ps3 on wireless in about 5 min, configs included

well it seems to be connected to my internet just fine.... the problem I seem to be having is it won't connect to Sony's Update Server.

I'm trying to do it via PC and then transfer it via USB... but alas, its downloading at about the same rate via my PC.... I'm thinking its something on Sony's end. Because my internet works fine.

Definitely get inFamous TC. While it lasts, it's a LOT of fun. A shame when it's over though, of course (both sides).

Get LBP that will be fun for a good, long time.

Definitely Killzone 2. The controls are fine now since they patched them and I keep going back to the multiplayer. Very addictive.

There was nothing wrong with KZ2's controls, people just wanted more options. I got plenty of frags with the default control scheme, although I must admit, I changed it to the Call of DUTY Scheme at some point just to make my transition to COD4 Online -COD5 Online-Upcoming COD6:MW2 that much smoother.

Still, yeah, it's a great game, for sure...I'm sure he has noticed the reviews all over the web on KZ2 though.

Yup, that's just your opinion and that's fine. It's not like I sucked with the controls either as I completed the campaign on Elite and Veteran when the game just came out.

The controls were disgusting and I'm glad they're smoother now. That's all I have to say about that.

Strange just leave everything automatic and it will or at least thats what happend with me.

I would get the GOW collections especially if you havent played it, LBP, Killzone2(its pretty fun better than resistance IMO), Infamous !!, Batman AA, Valkyrie Chronicles (if youre a fan of games like advanced wars).

Yeah I fully expect to like Uncharted 1 & 2... they look like my kind of games.... adventure / TPS.

I think you should get Valkyria Chronicles, Street Fighter IV, Blazblue, LittleBigPlanet, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (downloadable), Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (is this one downloadable? I forget), heard Flower was good, FFXIII and FFXIV, Borderlands, Dragon Age: Origins, Tales of Vesperia, etc.

Sorry to hear about your PS3 troubles..I wish I could help, but I don't own a PS3! The above list is more of my personal wishlist when I get a PS3 (need a job first) :cry:

If you wanna add to your collection:

Killzone 2 should be up your ally.

Infamous is a nice break from shooters.

LittleBigPlanet really can be fun for anyone. You might even be able to play it with your son.

Valkyria Chronicles may or may not appeal to you.

I own LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma and I did own Metal Gear Solid 4 and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and in my eyes all of them are great games so my recommendations would be all of those plus some other ones that I haven't got around to buying yet because I'm too busy with my Xbox 360 these days.

for your internet just google "connecting PS3 with X router". you should be able to find a decent amount of help :)

If you like baseball at all the MLB: The Show is an absolute must buy. It is a real treat.

LBP is a very entertaining title, and your kid(s) might get a real kick out of it.

I'd reccomend KZ2 for the multiplayer, but I imagine you may already bet set for online shooters on the 360.

Wipeout is a blast to play and looks just gorgeous. Best value on the PSN.

I'd absolutely buy the GoW collection when they come out. Heck, my wife was completely entertained just watching those 2 games on PS2. If you enjoy those, the Heavenly Sword will be right up your alley, and you should get it for about 20 bucks. So, in the end you'd have 3 games for the price of one, and the GoW3 demo.

PS.... Please don't recommend MGS4.... I hate that crap.
