I'm gonna say what everyone is thinking...

Do to the fact that Nintendo has radically altered and changed the consumer base with the Wii.  Traditional customers have undergone a reordering of value to rationalize their faith in an obsolete console that functions against their interests and demands.  New consumers, we call them "casuals," demand radically different products that function from the premise that a video is little more than a childish toy only capable of providing the most basic and immediate forms of pleasure (aka, welcome to family friendly hell).

Now that's a very discriminating argument.
Why a game that's not rated M or at least T is automatically a bad game?

First, it's too early to asume anything and second the library of the consoles 3rd party is growing with new titles announced almost every single day. The name Sould Calibur arrives on the Wii? Well that somehow must be a bad thing...... Hell if Snatcher was annouced for the console tomorrow(Wich many fans would find themselves more excited then one of the top 3rd party games for PS3) it would still, somehow, be a bad thing. Note that its not confirmed for the Wii or to even come out yet, I'm only just using it as an example.

3rd party devs need not invest time into meaningful games and franchises when the consumer base of Wii will purchase just about anything that is aggressively marketed correctly, sold by an ancient franchise label alone, or chalk full of cutesy and gimmicy value.

Even if a third party dev had an idea for a Wii, the inferior and feeble hardware of the console make it virtually impossible to exploit the full graphical, physical, and qualatative depth of our current gen of consoles.

Meaningful games? Games you like are meaningful to you, not to everyone.

Now, how come PS2 had games with depth and great artistic value with a inferior and feeble hardware last gen?

Here's my reply... If you think that MP# is going to even be in the same universe as Halo 3 graphically, than you have clearly lost your fanboy mind. MP3 will be lucky if it can achieve 1st gen PS2 graphics due to the weak performance of the wii's graphics. Bottom line... I KNOW that Halo 3 is gonna look play and feel awesome... MP3 will look like garbage in comparison.

Why is it that when asked to show the good games on the Wii, people like yourself, show games that aren't even out on the Wii and it is normally the exact same 3 or 4 games over and over and over again?

I can't get in to or even buy the wii because the graphics are so bad... I know its the new cool thing to say graphics don't matter but guess what... they do. I just feel the need to stop being fake and tell the world. I enjoy my XBOX1 and those graphics were nice, now I want some more muscle not a downgrade in graphics and a flippy controller with poorly implimented functions. I'm not trying to hurt feelings... I just can't lie anymore.

Well if you say that, that means it will be comparable to PS1 titles. And, if TP looked far better then all early PS2 games, then why would Metroid be worse?

Your kidding with the metroid pic right? I've literally seen better pics than that come out of the N64... SSB and mario, mark my words will suffer greatly in the final version of the game... wii graphics are a joke.

the truth about the wii is that:

it's a good console. but it can't impress us anymore, in any way except whatever involves the controller (gameplay-wise, but not entirely).

both ps3 and 360 can impress us gfx-wise, audio-wise and gameplay-wise (in whatever involves physics, size of maps, possibilities in the game, freedom of play, etc). they can't impress with the controllers too much, maybe the PS3 with the sixaxis controller, but yet, not as much as the wii. but i buy a new console to be impressed (yes, i bet that what most ppl wants from their new console is that WOW sensation), and both 360 and PS3 are great consoles for that... the wii is just good.

Umm, some games that use it to it's full extent, such as Stuntman, are really impressive, graphically, almost as good as a PS1.  I've even seen a video showing MGS1 running on a GBA.
