I've just finished selling all my N64 games.
I had Super Smash Bros, Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, and Star Fox.

Now I'm selling my SNES Chrono Trigger, Secret of Evermore, and Mario RPG

Then it's on to the NES!

Soon, I'll have enough to buy that epic!

and I think it'll be worth it!

It's not really worth it. While I do consider it a 10, it's certainly not the "greatest thing ever" that some claim it is.

That's a damn stupid thing to do. 12 Angry Men quotes aside, I would keep all of those old systems personally and I kinda have the feeling you're lying.

Not worth it, you'll get $1 for each of your games at Gamestop. Your better off paying MORE money out of pocket.

Dont do that man, your gonna beat that game in a few days then thats gonna be it.MGO isnt all that good either so that wont keep you playing.

MGS4 is really good but its a one time thing, you play it the first time and its REALLY REALLY EPIC and after you beat it again thats when it gets boring.

ANYWAYS WHY NOT JUST BUY IT,YOU DONT HAVE $60.

Selling all your old games collection that you might want to go back to one day for one game= MEGA FAIL!

Seriously...MGS4 is the one of the best games I have ever played...but I would never sell my entire collection for it.

Why would you sell your N64 and NES things? You'd get nothing for them and you should keep them for old time sake. I still play Zelda OoT once and awhile and some Goldeneye on my N64.

No lies. I haven't played those systems for almost 10 years or more. All they are doing is collecting dust; and now they're getting me a PS3.

I've always thought collecting is stupid.

Then again, while testing my old games before listing them, I had to force myself to play more than 5 minutes. I played those old games to death. Now that they're dead, I'm sure their rotten corpses are more valuable to me liquidated.

Meh, I got a wii, if I ever have the sudden urge to play that out-dated Zelda game I can just download it for about 1/2 of what I sold it for.

I never actually owned Goldeneye either, but I'm sure Team Fortress 2 is better now if I want some FPS multiplayer action.

Probably. Although I DO own all these things I'm selling; it's probably where all my money has went over the years.

ATM I'm in college though, and newly married, so I have a lot of other obligations.

I'm actually selling it for $60, since that' sthe going rate right now when you don't have the original box or the manual.

If I had known I could sell it mint when I first bought it, I would have been a little more careful to save those things.

Don't sell those Snes games. It'll be a mistake. Just save up for a while until you can buy MGS4. It'll still be a great game later in the year. But you'll hate yourself for selling all those games. Especially Chrono trigger.

Yes it is. Very highly sought after, because it was like the bes SNES game.

Selling it for MGS4, is not worth it though. Neither is selling super mario rpg.

Honestly, this is a bad idea. MGS 4 is an amazing game and has made me think tiwce about getting a PS3, but I would not trade a classic collection for it. MGS 4 will go down in price soon and pretty quickly, 3-4 months from now, you will be able to find the game for 1/2 the price it is now. There are A LOT of gamers who buy, sell, trade tons of games every year. Since it is largely a single player game and has limited online, the incentive to keep it for most people will be lower then a game like COD4 which has limitless replay value.

Why don't you just wait and pick it up later?

By the way, Chronno Trigger can pretty much get you the cost of the game alone....are you selling all this stuff to buy MGS 4 AND a PS3?

Right, I don't have a PS3 yet.

What is the point of having a collection of games if you don't play them?
I think that it's cruel to keep these cl assics from other people simply because they're rare or something.

While this is true >.> I doubt I'm going to want to play them again. If I do, the feeling is usually shaken as soon as I get caught up in something more important.

And actually, in total, I'm getting about $500+ for all this stuff.

I sold my copy of Ratchet and Resistance for MGS4. Was it worth it? Yes, because I didn't care for Ratchet and Resistance anymore.

I only have one other game, and that's Uncharted, but I'm selling that aswell so I can get another DS3.

So all the games you listed are all your games? I guess it just depends if you care for those games or not. I can easily find cheaper Resistance and Ratchet, bu as time goes by it'll be harder to find those games you've listed.

So just follow your gut instinct.

You should rent MGS4 and if you love it enough, then buy it.

I dunno, I might be willing to place bets on who's the bigger MGS fan here...

I'm positive I'll like it. If it's ANYTHING like the previous titles, I'll like it.

While it's a great game... I wouldnt do that. You'll regret it.

Besides, MGS4 is only 60. Sell something else... or get a job... or do online surveys for 3 bucks at a time or something.

Well, for a limited time only, you can find mine for sale.

I still haven't gotten my question answered, why keep them if I don't play them?
