This just shows how close it is on what game is better. To say that there is a clear "Halo Killer" is just false.

I see people saying COD4 and Halo take no skill.
You couldn't be any more wrong. There's a difference between taking no skill and being accessible. These aren't games like CS or SOCOM where you can go 25-0 if you are good enough. These games give the lesser players a chance to have fun but there still is competitive aspect to it.
I like to compare them to basketball. A sport that doesn't take much skill to play but takes plenty of time to master, and once you master it you are just above everyone.
COD4 is different from Halo 3. There are people that can single handedly destroy you in COD but Halo is more team oriented. (at the higher levels, most of you who say "i played it for 2 hours it takes no skill" obviously. It's going to put you against players who are at the skill level of you, it's not like COD where it'll put level 10s against 10th prestigers.)
But go play Str8 Rippin in Halo and let's see how you do.
Change your name to 2scoopsoffail. COD4 for realism? It's not realistic at all. Halo is more realistic.[QUOTE="2scoopsofempty"]sorry buddy but HALO is almost perfection as far as online FPS' go FOR CONSOLES. I still pop in COD4 regularly for some realism, win win for me.RobNBankz
Stop confusing modern with realistic. A game can be modern day setting but that doesn't mean it's realistic.
Halo is more realistic than COD4? are you serious?
[QUOTE="violent_spinal"]CoD is definitely doing something right. For most of what I saw for '08, CoD4 was on the top.Sure, it would switch spots with Halo3, and GTA4 had it for a while.WaW is already the top spot on LIVE, and has been since Christmas. That didn't take long, huh? But, can Halo really be killed?Nah.Though, CoD4 was #1 well over 2x as much over Halo 3 in 2008.Not quite 3x. Close, though.I count CoD4 at 26 times for #1.And, I count Halo 3 at 11 times for #1.According to Major Nelson's blog, anyways. This isn't even counting the times Halo 3 was #3, and CoD4 was #2.II-FBIsniper-IIFunny that you say that.
[QUOTE="killerfist"]Halo is still alive and kicking last time I logged on. Seriously,...stop with the "halo killer" nonsense allready.TREAL_SinceNot in the context of literally "killing" Halo, it still exists (and for good reason). But in the sense that it's not the overall number one game of its kind on consoles like last generation, it can be considered "killed" based on one's interpretation of the context. Other than that, it remains one of the most relevant games in its genre. Why does it need to be killed in the first place using that logic? Makes no sense to me.
Nope technically there isn't any FPS on console that score higher than 9.5..so if we go by the rules the next game needs to score higher than 9.5 to be considered a halo killer.McdonaIdsGuyHow in the world will a game scoring higher than another on a gamespot "kill" the game?
No, stop it. Halo is too gigantic.
Most played Xbox 360 game in 2007:Halo 3.
Most played Xbox 360 game in 2008:Halo 3.
Stop it.
Please.
I'm sorry, but it seems you forgot to take a look at the X-box live account's posted by gamespot a few weeks ago on which game was being played the most on-line.
Halo 3 was still on top for 2008, although CoD4 was close behind.
Yea, there a good chance that it could over take Halo 3 this year, and this game is the closest thing to an indeed halo killer then anything else, but never less I would played halo 3 over CoD4 any-day.
CoD4 is more for extreme hardcore players, at least I live longer in Halo.
