Yeah, we haven't seen anything about this. How do we know what it's gonna be like..it could be overtly complicated and annoying to build a good level on. If it's anything like forge in Halo 3 or linerider only the hardcore will play it.[QUOTE="Toriko42"][QUOTE="Popadophalis"]Hmm it really depends on how user-friendly the creation interface is. If it's anywhere near as complicated as it could be then I can't imgaine it appealing to a broader audience.NinjaMunkey01
I think its supposed to be essy to use, but hard to master.
Anyne could make a simple creation, but the more difficult things will require practise. You will just have to start off simple. I plan on playing with friends so we can practise toghether and stuff.
I think this game will get a 9-9.5. It could get a 10 if its good enough. It could be a system seller if sony starts marketing it. This is the first game oof this type to be done well on consoles and I think that many people would be interested in this game.
Din ding ding! We have a winner.
LBP has the potential to be a system seller if Sony markets it well.
That having said, I personally have no interest whatsoever in this title, but I'm sure it will score pretty high. Even AAAA wouldn't surprise me that much.
I think it will. Have you seen how popular Sackboy is starting to become?SpinoRaptor
Actually, no. I never hear of it outside of gaming sites or game magazines.
LBP will be a great game, I think. I just hope it doesn't go the route of Okami or Psychonauts: Really good games that just don't meet the level of success that many think it deserves. I think it might be a system seller for the hardcore gamer (If I got a PS3, this would be the first game I would get), but I would be surprised if it attracts others outside of that consumer base.

I'm a wiiiiiinner? :)
I work in a games shop and the only person i have heard about little big planet from is the biggest cow ever, not one other person has said anything about it.
Haze got alot love before it came out though
Who knows, maybe LBP will have the MGS4 affect, meaning that it'll move systems in the first couple of weeks of the month and LBP will be in the top 10 software sales, and then the following month LBP won't even be in the top 10. Now that I thought about it the reason MGS4 moved PS3s because it was bundled with it. So unless Sony bundles LBP with PS3s, then yeah, it might not move that many systems or even at all.
i heard the same thing about mgs4. it won't sell consoles and it won't hit a million and look what happen. if sony advertises this right it will sell. a bundle would be great.sireclaborn
Like I said in my post above. The reason MGS4 moved PS3s because it was bundled with it. So far there's no indication that LBP is bundled with a PS3. That would be a sweeter bundle than the MGS4 bundle for some. Also MGS4 was #1 in sofware sales in that month and then in the following month it's not even in the top 10.
With the marketing it's getting, it will definitly be a system seller.SolidGame_basic
We concur, Sack boy is bound to become the Ps3's mascot too.
It will do well in sales.
I hope it's a good game, that's what I actually care about, considering I'm interested in the title.
I dunno - I'm loving the look of it and I'm a 29 year old male gamer who normally only likes action and driving games!
My wife is also interested in it, and she's a casual gamer in the strongest sense of the word! I don't think it will shift systems in the same numbers as MGS4, but I think it will move some, for sure. I certainly can't see it being a flop, as one poster suggested...
And that building side advertisement is killer!
You can quote me on this, anyone who says Little Big Planet will move systems is delirious. As far as Little Big Planet goes it's a hardcore game masquerading as a casual game and I highly doubt this game alone will help to make the PS3 move more systems and cause casuals to buy a PS3. Please...no matter what anyone will say casuals will for the most part lean towards the Wii due to the fact it has the best supply of games for them.
Little Big Planet looks great, I can't wait to try it out but I have two doubts about it1) It won't move systems as it's fundamentally a game for the hardcore {Casuals might be turned off if the level building is too difficult}
2) I doubt it'll be AAAAE, AAAE most likely (PS3's first), AAE who knows we have to see how it shapes up
My point is: LBP won't change casual's opinions on the PS3. Don't say 'no one ever said this', I see it all the time. Toriko42
thanks?
The only reason this trash is getting hyped is because cows and Sony have no other exclusives to talk about. If this was multi platform they would not give a crap about it. The truth is LBP is not in the same league as MGS4, it will not shift consoles, and most PS3 owners did not buy a PS3 to play trash like this.Nicky75
Just let me say God Of War III. That is another PS3 exclusive that can be talked about. Though I have no interest in this game once so ever, lots of people, have lots of different tastes, I guess a good majority of people like this game. Probably won't sell great, but will be decent.
