Killzone just wore off quickly for me. Considering Team Fortress 2 is the much more superior class-based shooter, I couldn't play something that was just a graphics showcase.
so basically graphics vs gameplay? Because the better package is subjective, and all this will do is get fanboys all agitated trying to disprove someones opinion :|
Killzone 2, much more fully featured game, though its not hugely better. Still, im surprised at the fanboys maturity with this game, Uncharted was rubbed in for years.
Killzone 2 definatly wins in the graphics department but ienjoyed odst more even though it was a tad short.Fifefight kept my attention longer than killzone 2s multiplayer,i had a real hard time with killzone 2s controls.
Lets see one is a full featured game, the other is a 4 hr long expansion pack. Hmm... Length and Story... Killzone 2 Gamplay... Killzone 2 standard FPS doesn't do anything new ODST same old Halo gameplay doesn't do anything new... Tie Graphics ... Killzone 2 arguably the 2nd best looking game on consoles, vs Halo 3's outdated graphics engigine ... Killzone 2 Multiplayer ... Killzone 2 standard FPS multiplayer offering plus 1 or 2 new gameplay modes , ODST 1 new mode and Halo 3 multiplayer disk. slight nudge to KZ since the only new thing in ODST is Firefight. All in all Killzone 2 is a much better and complete game.
Killzone single players is really good, Killzone online (for me anyway) is a flawed gem is has some great features but it feels like you are playing in treacle. It also doesn't have that many people playing online a few thousand max, so its not that varied online. OSDT feels a bit slicker and you have far more people online so tha game matching works a little better.
I can't stand either of them when playing alone, however with friends Halo 3 was fun, gets old pretty fast though. The only real fun gameplay is when you use the custom matches like zombie infection and other game variants.
I haven't tried playing Killzone 2 with friends(mainly because none of my friends have it), but I'm sure it's just like MW, kind of boring.
You are comparinga game which wasdeveloped by 14 people over a course of one year, against a game which was developed by hundreds over five years, with a $50 million budget??
ODST got old very fast, while for Killzone 2, I just didn't like the feel of it. I was dissappointed in both games. Now BFBC2 is a great fps, I played the beta over at my friends house, I guess MW2 will have to keep me interested until BC2 comes out.
