I'm tired of waiting, it's time!!! PS3 or 360, which one should I get?

I'm a casual gamer who only has time for one gaming console, but which one? I've been waiting forever now and was going to wait till after E3'08 until I'd make a decision but I'm ready to buy one now.

PS3 interest include MGS4, Killzone 2, Resistance 2, GOW3(if it actually comes out), Tekken 6, Uncharted and blu ray. However I dislike the fact that the majority of games that interest me on the PS3 aren't out yet and the consoles expensive price point.

360 interest include GeOW2, Ninja Gaiden 2(Although the difficulty is kind of a turn off), Halo 3 and xbl. Though the cost of online, and the non-dependable hardware kind of turns me off.

Multiplats I want include GTA4, Street Fighter 4, RE5, DMC4, Far Cry 2, Bioshock and Saints Row 2.

Favorite genres are Action/Adventure, Shooters(FPS, TPS, etc.), some sports games, and Fighting

So what should I get? PS3 has MGS4, but nothing like GeOW. PS3 has Ninja Gaiden Sigma, but I can get both NGB and NG2 on the 360. XBL has a much better online community, but it's not free like PS3's online. PS3 and 360 share most of the same titles, but 360's multiplats are superior. Aaaahhhhhhhhh I can't decide:cry:

Right, with your fanboyims and bias towards the 360, i seriously doubt you ever owned a PS3, you haven't even shown any remote interest in any title or anything PS3 related.

the ps3 would be better for you since you play casually, paying for xbox live wouldn't be justified if you don't play that often. Blu ray, wi-fi, and free online is quite nice, MGS4 is awesome, a lot of 360 exclusives are coming to PC so if you have a good PC then this makes the choice even easier...

First of all, don't ask here. Everyone will just blurt out their console of choice while stating it in a manner that it's either that console or death.

Secondly, look at what the advantages and disadvantages of each console are and what franchises you like and genres you enjoy and then make your final decision. Yes, you might have to sacrifice a game or two but choose the one hat will benefit you more, not the one with the one true killer app.

As a owner of both, all i can say is this... Even though Metal Gear Solid 4 is extremely insanely out-of-control good, there is more variety and loads of fantastic games on the 360, and it's the games it's all about.

If i had neither, and it was my money, i would buy a Xbox 360.

Agreed. Not including multiplats, currently it's a tie imo. MGS4 and Uncharted vs. Ninja Gaiden 2 and GeOW is all I got out of those sites. I want them all, but can only get two. Then if I look towards the exclusive games coming out later I get the same scenerio.

It seems to me you'd be better off getting a 360 for now. Further down the line, when the PS3 is at a much lower price, you can consider getting it just for the games you want to play.

If you want to play the most amazing game experience ever created. If you don't believe me then read GS review of MGS 4 Guns of the Patriots. Then you need to get the awesome reliable with the most technology in it PS3. 40gb $399 or 80gb with MGS 4 for $499. 360 is good, but the PS3 is great.
